Jedlicka Pushes Out Egues

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Cristian Egues raised to 45,000 from under the gun and Pierre Neuville called in the cutoff, Stefan Jedlicka came along out of the big blind as well. On the {Q-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop, Jedlicka checked and Egues continued for 100,000. Neuville folded and Jedlicka then check-raised all in for 380,000.

Egues tried the everlasting "will you show if I fold" question, but Jedlicka just stared at the middle of the table behind his sunglasses to see the Spaniard fold after some consideration.

Tonight the PokerStars.com EPT Season 13 Malta festival will come to a close, but before that a small matter of finding a winner in the €10,300 High Roller have to be settled, and thus the remaining eight players will be back at the felt in a little under 2 hours from now. All the players have at this point in time €43,300 locked up for their efforts, but with all eyes set on the first prize payout of €335,200, we are in for a treat with today’s final table.

Leading the pack is European Poker Tour regular Pierre Neuville, who managed to bag up no less than 1,695 million chips, but he’s followed closely by Spanish Cristian Egues with 1,515 million chips, who won his entry to the tournament through a live satellite Thursday morning, and Liviu Ignat of Romania with 1,012,000.

Also in contention is Team PokerStars Pro Theo Jorgensen, who held the chiplead of the tournament up until the last level of play yesterday, but even though the Dane had to hand over more than half a million with two pair being no good against the trips of Neuville, he still managed to bag up 982,000.

The other finalist includes Michael Kane (810,000), Stefan Jedlicka (443,000), who already secured one high roller trophy at Portomaso Casino this week when he surged to the top of the €2,200 IPT High Roller, Charlie Carrel (410,000) and [Removed:172] (334,000).
