Hand #42: Reichenstein Takes A Huge Chunk From Owen

Level 33 : 125,000/250,000, 25,000 ante
Adam Owen
Adam Owen

Hand #42: Sebastian Malec limped in for 250,000 under the gun with {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}. Uri Reichenstein raised to 800,000 on the button holding {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}. Adam Owen called out of the big blind with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Clubs}, and Malec called as well.

The {Q-Hearts}{9-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop brought something for everyone to work with. Owen checked, Malec checked, and Reichenstein bet 1,500,000. Owen check-raised to 3,100,000, getting Malec to fold his second pair. Reichenstein smooth-called in position.

The turn was the {8-Spades}, which would have improved Malec's hand to two pair. Owen checked to Reichenstein, and the German shoved all in. It was a bet of 9,375,000 total, slightly bigger than the pot of 8,525,000.

The shove was for 75% of Owen's remaining stack, which sent the Brit deep in the tank. It took him nearly six minutes before he called, creating the biggest pot of the tournament so far.

Owen got the bad news when the cards went open, drawing to the two remaining queens to survive. Although the final table had it's fair share of bad beats, this time the best hand stayed ahead when the {A-Hearts} hit the river.

Reichenstein catapulted to a monster chiplead. Owen took a big hit to his stack and remained behind with just 12 big blinds.

Hand #39:: Thomas de Rooij raised to 500,000 on the button with {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}. Adam Owen had {A-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} in the small blind and put in another three-bet, this time to 1,500,000. De Rooij counted out his chips and made the call.

The flop {10-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{3-Clubs} kept Owen with a strong lead on the hand. Owen continued with a bet of 1,100,000 and De Rooij folded. De Rooij slipped to 24 big blinds after the hand.

Hand #40: Thomas de Rooij raised to 525,000 under the gun with {A-Clubs}{K-Spades}. Adam Owen called on the button with {K-Diamonds}{J-Spades}, Adam Malec called from the small blind with {4-Spades}{4-Hearts}, and Uri Reichenstein defended his big blind with {Q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, creating the first family pot of the day.

The flop was {Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{3-Diamonds}, which moved Reichenstein in the lead with a pair of queens. All players elected to check the flop. On the {3-Clubs} turn, Malec checked, Reichenstein bet 825,000, getting the rest to fold.

Hand #34: Thomas De Rooij raises with {K-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and takes it right on down.

Hand #35: Reichenstein made it 575,000 to go from under the gun with {A-Clubs}{K-Clubs} and Malec called with an {8-Spades} and one unseen card. The flop of {7-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades} saw Reichenstein continue for 450,000, and Malec folded.

Hand #36: Malec called with {8-Spades}{4-Spades} in the small blind, and Reichenstein checked it with {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds} in the big blind.

The flop of {3-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} saw both players check, but the turn {3-Spades} saw Malec min-bet and Reichenstein call. The river of {8-Clubs} gave Malec the pair and he checked to Reichenstein, who bet 450,000. Malec calls and wins the hand. He gives a wave of the fist to his rail.

Hand #37: Adam Owen made it 600,000 from under the gun with {A-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} and Malec had {A-Hearts}{5-Spades} on the button and made a three-bet to 1,550,000. Owen had a real decision and elected to raise to 3.5 million. That was enough to force Malec into the fold,

Hand #33: Malec Gets There On The Turn

Level 33 : 125,000/250,000, 25,000 ante
Sebastian Malec
Sebastian Malec

Hand #33: Thomas de Rooij raised to 500,000 on the button with {A-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Sebastian Malec defended his big blind with {J-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}.

The flop was {6-Clubs}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} and Malec elected to lead out with 475,000. De Rooij, holding the best hand, raised to 1,200,000. Malec, however, put in a three-bet to 2,200,000 on the flop, holding nothing but jack high! De Rooij wasn't scared, as he committed the extra chips to get to the turn.

The {J-Hearts} on the turn suddenly improved Malec's air to the best hand, and this time he checked. De Rooij made it 1,500,000 to go, and Malec check-called. The {9-Diamonds} on the river got quickly checked by both players, giving Malec the winner with his pair of jacks.

Hands #29 - #32

Level 33 : 125,000/250,000, 25,000 ante
Sebastian Malec
Sebastian Malec

Hand #29: Reich raised to 600,000 with {A-Spades}{Q-Hearts} from under the gun. Malec had {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades} and called before checking the flop of {6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{9-Spades} along with his opponent.

The turn of {J-Hearts} opened up the flush draw, but the river {8-Spades} saw both check again and although not everyone at the table loved the chop pot, both players in the hand seemed fine with it.

Hand #30: Sebastian Malec bet 750,000 in the small blind with {J-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Reichenstein called in the big blind with {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}. The flop of {Q-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{7-Diamonds} saw Malec continued for 1.2 million, and Reichenstein made the call.

A big pot now, and turn of {8-Clubs} saw four million in the middle already. Malec checked, but Reichenstein was not in the mood to allow a free river card, and he bet 2.2 million. Malec had a huge decision to make. Eventually, he folded it, and Reichenstein re-took the chip lead.

Hand #31: Malec bet 500,000 with {4-Diamonds}{4-Clubs} from the button , but Reichenstein held {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} in the small blind. Reichenstein made it 1,375,000 and Malec made the call.

The flop of {3-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} saw Reichenstein check to Malec, who made it 975,000. Reichenstein called, and the turn of {A-Diamonds} was an intriguing card. Again Reichenstein checked to Malec, and the Polish player took his time before betting out 1.7 million.

Reichenstein folded the best hand and Malec raises his arms to his rail, who celebrate to a man. With that vital pot, Malec takes the chip lead.

Hand #32: Malec raised to 575,000 with {A-Spades}{7-Diamonds} from under the gun. That's enough to take it down.

Hand #27: Uri Reichenstein raised to 625,000 from the small blind with {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and De Rooij defended his big blind with {10-Hearts}{7-Clubs}.

De Rooij flopped a monster on {10-Clubs}{10-Spades}{6-Diamonds}, getting a 99% lock on the hand. Uri bet 400,000 and De Rooij called. Reichenstein checked the {2-Spades} on the turn, De Rooij bet 850,000, and Reichenstein check-called with his ace high.

On the {K-Spades} river, after Reichenstein checked, De Rooij put down the hammer and bet 2,800,000. Reichenstein considered it for thirty seconds before putting in a call, but got shown the bad news by De Rooij. The Dutchman and the German now have identical stacks.
