Table Talk

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante
Dominik Nitsche
Dominik Nitsche

Michael Telker from the USA is joking around to the table about his fold to four-bet percentages claiming that one of these times he’s going to have it. Dominik Nitsche then claims that he will now be breaking out the cold four bets and promptly opens the next pot throwing in a red T1000 chip just after saying “Nine.” Action on Telker who asks him, “No? Nein?” before folding claiming he made a really big fold.

The table briefly falls quiet on the next hand as Soren Hansen opens for 850 and Raed Mouawad moves all in for 6,550. Hansen thinks about it for a while and folds showing {a-Hearts} while Mouawad showed the {a-Diamonds}.

It folded round to Ryan Hall in the small blind on the next hand who opened for 700 which was called in the big blind by Dominik Nitsche. It was checked all the way to the river with the final board showing {7-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{3-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}. “You got anything?” Nitsche asked. In a way he did as the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} was better than Nitsche’s hand and he won a small pot.

Nines Aren't the Cure for Czuczor's Ails

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Gottfried Franz opened for 850 and received a call from Panagiotis Sotiriadi in the hijack. Andre-Peter Metzner then called from the button, and Marton Czuczor opted to move all in from the small blind for 5,525 total.

Franz took a moment before four-betting to nearly 25,000, and it isolated as both Sotiriadi and Metzner released their hands.

Franz: {10-Spades}{10-Clubs}
Czuczor: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

It was a bad spot for Czuczor as he ran his pocket pair into a bigger one. The board ended up running out a dry {3-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and that was all she wrote for Czuczor.

Time!

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

{3-Clubs}{Q-Spades}{4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{Q-Clubs} on the table and Dimitri Holdeew had 8,275 in front of him and a black and red triangle indicating that he was all in.

Holdeew, winner of the Eureka Poker Tour in Prague for €226,400 and went deep in the EPT Prague Main Event (15th for €44,300) and EPT Deauville Main Event (13th for € 34,350), who's tournament life was at risk if his opponent would call.

Sasa Lalos wasn't about to make his decision anytime soon though, as he gave it some thought. Eventually Age Spets called the clock. The brush came over and announced Lalos had one minute left to act. With one second left Lalos folded, leaving Holdeew the 32,000 pot.

Boeken in Trouble

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Noah Boeken faced a 2,700-chip bet with the board showing {6-Clubs}{K-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{3-Diamonds} and the Dutch EPT winner made the call.

On the river the {J-Clubs} popped up and quickly Boeken's opponent, Claas Segebrecht, put in a bet worth 15,000. This was enough to put Boeken all in, and he pondered for quite a while before folding his cards.

Boeken was left with 11,200 and he's facing an uphill battle.

Clock

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Table thirty was not as forgiving as others on the time front as the dealer called out “Time table thirty.” We arrived at the table to see two players had reached the turn on a board showing {6-Clubs}{a-Spades}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}. Halil Baybars had declared that he was all in and covered the player with the decision to make, Michael Csango, both of them from Austria. The countdown began but Csango didn’t take too long to make the call. He waited for Baybars to turn over his {k-Clubs}{q-Spades} before turning over his own {a-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds} with some relief. He still had a lot of cards to fade though as Baybars had a gut shot straight draw and a spade flush draw. The river {9-Hearts} was no help though and Baybars took a big hit while Csango doubled up.

Decision Time

Level 5 : 150/300, 25 ante

Ihar Soika opened under-the-gun for 625 and Aram Sargsyan from Armenia raised to 1,200. The blinds folded and Soika began his dwell up. A minute passed and he announced all in. The red triangle was thrown in front of him and Sargsyan asked for a count. The answer was a total of 10,250. Now it was Sargsyan’s turn to go in the tank which he did for several minutes. A few players stood up to stretch their legs but it didn’t look as if anyone was thinking about calling the clock. Sargsyan counted out the call and counted the rest of his stack. He studied his opponent some more but Soika sat stock still with his eyes practically closed. Eventually Sargsyan had weighed it up enough and made the fold. Seat one called out to him slightly sarcastically, “Ace queen suited?” but that was the end of the matter.
