No Cookies for Saout

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante
Antoine Saout
Antoine Saout

On a {A-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{J-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}{3-Clubs} board Antoine Saout was taking the betting lead. The WSOP Main Event 2009 third place finisher bet 5,500 from the small blind. His opponent, German PokerStars qualifier Marc Siebtroth, was seated on the button and thought about it for quite some time. He had all the reason to, the 5,500 Saout asked of him was a significant part of the stack he still had left.

After some time Siebtroth put the 5,500 in the middle. Saout immediately waved the white flag and mucked his cards. Siebtroth did the same but he collected the chips in the pot.

Haglund Loses a Hand Full

Level 7 : 250/500, 50 ante

Rytis Praninskas opened the hijack to 1,000 and Julian Thomas on the button was the first to call. Olof Haglund came along from the big blind as well and the three of them saw a flop.

{K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{2-Hearts}

Haglund checked to Praninskas who continued his preflop agression with a 1,500 bet. Thomas was quick to fold but Haglund made the call. EPT London 2013 third place finisher Haglund checked again on the {4-Hearts} turn and Praninskas bet 3,200. Haglund called and the {5-Diamonds} fell on the river.

Haglund checked for the third time but wouldn't be calling this time. Praninskas bet 8,500 and Haglund didn't waste much time before folding.

Time for a 75-Minute Dinner Break

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Six levels are in the books, which means it's time for a 75-minute dinner break. When they returning, the remaining players will play two more levels before bagging and tagging for the night.

While you wait, check out this video from EPT10 Vienna where Kristy Arnett chats with Olivier Busquet:

Telker Time

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Michael Telker is still talking up a storm, swigging at his drink and claiming to have been on the vodka and red bull since 11am. We joied as he was giving super short stack Igor Devkin a spin with {q-Clubs}{3-Clubs} which was in trouble against the {q-Spades}{j-Hearts} of Devkin. The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}{10-Spades}{4-Hearts}{j-Spades} and Devkin doubled to just under 3,000.

On the next hand Dominik Nitsche was pounding away at Soren Hansen, betting 3,700 on a turn showing {2-Clubs}{7-Spades}{6-Spades}{j-Diamonds}. Hansen made the call and when the river was dealt {k-Spades} Nitsche bet enough to put Hansen in. Hansen quickly called with the nut flush {a-Spades}{8-Spades} and Nitchse threw his {6-}{6-}set at the board where it was quickly scooped up.

Short stack Igor Devkin was all in again the next hand and was called by Hansen with his newly won chips. He folded though when Canadian PokerStars player raised with {j-Hearts}{j-Spades} to get it heads up against the {k-Spades}{q-Diamonds} of Devkin. The cards ran out {6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{10-Hearts}{5-Hearts} and this time Devkin had to forfeit all his chips.

Telker went back to entertaining the table.

Ladouceur Check Calls

Level 6 : 200/400, 50 ante

Olof Haglund was seated under the gun plus two and raised it up to 850. Marc-Andre Ladouceur in the big blind was the sole caller.

Ladouceur check called 1,000 on {Q-Clubs}{10-Clubs}{7-Spades} and check called another 2,100 on the {5-Clubs} turn. The river brought the {J-Spades} on the table and both players checked.

Ladouceur tabled {Q-Spades}{9-Diamonds} and Haglund quickly folded.
