Welsh Wizard Roberto Romanello was a short stack for much of the middle part of Day1b but managed to run it up to finish the day on 73,700. He seems to have run into some misfortune today though and is again left nursing a short stack once again.

As mentioned before, Ronan Monfort could have done with a double up similar to Christian Favale and he just did that. From under the gun he moved all-in for 20 big blinds with pocket tens and the small blind called with eights.
Shortly after Christian Favale doubled up again, his victim was the same as before. We joined the action on the turn where Favale bet 4,000 and called the raise to 8,400 from Martic Andrija. On the river Favale moved all in for 17,800 into a pot of 25,000 and Martic leveled himself into a call with queen high. Favale showed the for another double up.
We saw Tam Truong lingering on the rail, and he was kind enough to inform us of the details surrounding his demise. According to him, he got his last 15 big blinds all in preflop holding against an opponent who held [10x10x. Truong explained this particular opponent had shoved on him earlier, so he was hoping to be racing in the worst case scenario. Unfortunately that wasn't the case and he failed to find a third seven.
Paul Berende opened the action from the button and the small blind moved all in for 30,900. Berende tank called with the and Dori Yacoub from Lebanon turned over the . "I just shoved any ace because you opened the button," Yacoub added. The board gave him trips and Berende almost lost one third of his stack.
Vladimir Troyanovskiy, who finished runner-up to Vanessa Selbst in last years $25,000 High Roller at the PCA for $792,180, has just been eliminated from the tournament. Troyanovskiy has never seen the river, and has never witnessed that his stack was just nearly covered by his opponent.
