Nice Pot For Jais

Bruno Jais
Bruno Jais

Vadzim Kursevich opened to 210,000 under the gun and Bruno Jais called on the button. Olivier Rogez called from the small blind, as did Vuong Than Trong from the big blind.

The flop fell {K-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}{4-Clubs} and action checked through to Jais who bet 250,000. Only Rogez came along to see the {K-Spades} turn where he fired 300,000, but that didn't shake Jais from the hand, who called to see the {6-Spades} river. Rogez fired 700,000 and again, Jais called

Rogez tabled {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}, but fell to Jais' {K-Diamonds}{J-Diamonds}.

Luca Pagano Eliminated in 7th Place (€110,000)

Luca Pagano - 7th place
Luca Pagano - 7th place

Sadly, Team PokerStars Pro Luca Pagano's seventh EPT Final table has ended much the same way the first six did - Without a victory.

The Italian shipped his last 1.6 million in the middle facing a Vuong Than Trong 220k opening raise.

After a few minutes thinking it over, Trong made the call with {9-Spades}{9-Hearts} and Pagano turned over {a-Clubs}{j-Spades}.

The board ran out {q-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{7-Clubs} and Pagano's impressive run in Deauville came to another disappointing ending.

Guichard Gets the Better of Jais Again

Level 30 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Bruno Jais has had the better of a lot player today, but not the chip leader.

Paul Guichard raised to 200,000 from the cut-off and Jais defended his big blind again. Both players checked the flop before Guichard check-called a 250,000 bet on the turn when the board read {10-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{3-Spades}{10-Hearts}. The river came {9-Diamonds} and Jais tank folded to a 675,000 bet. Guichard extended his chip lead and is up to 7,750,000.

Jais Takes From Than Trong

Bruno Jais raised to 250,000 under the gun and Vuong Than Trong called from the hijack.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{5-Diamonds} and both checked to see the turn {7-Hearts}. Jais bet 400,000, Than Trong called, and the {4-Clubs} hit the river. Jais didn't slow down, betting 700,000. Than Trong gave it some thought, but ultimately folded.

Four Way to the Flop

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

For the first time today the action went four-way to a flop. Vuong Than Trong raised to 170,000 from the cut-off and was called by Vadzim Kursevich, Paul Guichard, and Luca Pagano in the next three seats.

The flop fell {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} and Than Trong continued for 280,000. That helped Than Trong into second place with around 4,925,000 chips.
