Kursevich Closing in on the Lead

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

Vadzim Kursevich is really motoring this level, certainly a player who seems to play the rush.

He opened to 515,000 from the small blind and was called by recent adversary Paul Guichard in the big blind. The flop came down {7-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{3-Hearts} and Kursevich checked to face a small 380,000 bet. Maybe the Belorussian flopped big or smelt weakness in the bet as he check-raised to 850,000. That told Guichard who folded. This level has been as equally bad for him as it's been good for Kursevich.

Kursevich Four-Bets Trong

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

After an orbit and a half without a flop, including two all in moves from Yorane Kerignard, Vadzim Kursevich opened to 400k.

Waiting in the wings, however, was chip leader Vuong Than Trong, who three-bet, making it 940k.

But Kursevich, who had been pushed off another 400k open by Paul Guichard a few hands earlier, wasn't going anywhere.

He four-bet, making it 1.9 million total and Trong gave it up.

We still haven't seen a flop for almost two orbits, but chips are changing hands.

Kursevich Doubles Through Guichard

Level 33 : 100,000/200,000, 30,000 ante

Vadzim Kursevich raised to 525,000 in the small blind and Paul Guichard responded by re-raising all in with the bigger stack. A snap call from Kursevich revealed {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}. Guichard shook his head in disbelief, tabling a dominated {A-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {K-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{4-Hearts} to give Kursevich the pair of kings he was was looking for, but the {2-Clubs} turn gave Guichard a flush draw. The river card was black, but it was the {6-Spades} to secure the double for Kursevich.

Guichard dropped to 3,640,000, while Kursevich upped his stack to 7,640,000.

Sneaky Play From Jais

Vuong Than Trong won the first hand back with an under-the-gun raise but on the second hand he was on the end of a cheeky play from Bruno Jais.

The action folded to Jais in the small blind and he completed on the small blind to face a raise to 700,000 from Than Trong in the big blind. Jais responded by moving all-in for 3,180. Than Trong asked for a count but ultimately folded.

Queens For Guichard

Level 32 : 80,000/160,000, 20,000 ante

Paul Guichard raised to 320,000 under the gun and Bruno Jais called on the button.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} and Guichard bet 280,000. Jais popped it to 700,000, Guichard called, and the {K-Clubs} landed on fourth street. Both tapped the table to see the {6-Diamonds} on fifth street where once again both checked.

Guichard tabled {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}, besting Jais' {2-Hearts}{2-Spades} to win the pot.
