Konstantinov Aleksandr Valerevish Eliminated in 12th Place (€12,500)

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante
Konstantinov Aleksandr Valerevish
Konstantinov Aleksandr Valerevish

Konstantinov Aleksandr Valerevish is out of this European Poker Tour Main Event after losing to Sami Kelopuro in a blind versus blind battle.

Everyone folded to Kelopuro in the small blind and he promptly made it 25,000 to play. Valerevish three-bet to 82,000 and Kelopuro announced he was all in. Valerevish called and the hands were turned onto their backs.

Valerevish: {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}
Kelopuro: {4-Clubs}{3-Clubs}

The {j-Hearts}{5-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop changed nothing but the {4-Diamonds} on the turn put Kelopuro in front. The river was the {2-Clubs}, which was no help to the Russian and he became our 12th place finisher and did not seem too pleased about that fact at all.

Apicella short again

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Vicenzo Apicella is down to 105,000 chips after he left a lot of equity in the middle and folded.

He raised to 25,000 and called when Johan van Til three-bet to 65,000 from the button. The flop came down {6-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds} and the Italian check-folded to Van Til's 60,000 c-bet.

Grzegorz Cichocki Getting Busy

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Grzegorz Cichocki raised to 24,000 on the button and Lari Sihvo three-bet to 72,000 from the big blind and Cichocki folded.

Undeterred, Cichocki then raised to 24,000 from the cut-off and Johan van Til called in the big blind. The flop was {j-Diamonds} {10-Spades} {7-Spades} and Van Til check-called a 25,000 Cichocki bet. The turn was the {2-Clubs} and Van Til checked again and Cichocki bet 50,000 to win the pot.

Cichocki made it three in a row when he raised to 24,000 from the hijack and this time Vincenzo Apicella called from the cut-off. A c-bet of 32,000 winning the hand for the Pole on a flop of {6-Diamonds} {10-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}

Kelopuro Straightens Out

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Sami Kelopuro seems to be taking this tournament more seriously today as he is sans iPad today. He spent yesterday afternoon playing online poker in between hands!

Just now he raised to 26,000 from the button and Raigo Aasmaa called in the big blind. The flop came down {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{4-Diamonds} and Aasmaa lead out for 37,000 and was quickly called. The turn was the {6-Clubs} and Aasmaa bet again, this time 46,000 and Kelopuro called once more. The dealer put the {3-Spades} out on the river and Aasmaa slowed down and checked, Kelopuro also checked and the hands were shown down.

Aasmaa:{8-Hearts}{8-Diamonds}
Kelopuro:{2-Clubs}{2-Hearts}

Kelopuro's straight wins the pot.

Apicella sings the double-up tune

Level 21 : 6,000/12,000, 1,000 ante

Vicenzo Apicella is a master of the double-up. He seems to blind away and then move all-in and double-up.

He was down to his last 74,000 when he moved in from UTG+1 and Ronny Kaiser made the call from the big blind.

Apicella: {k-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}
Kaiser: {j-Diamonds}{8-Clubs}.

The board ran an Italy friendly {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{2-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} to give him two-pair.

Ronny Kaiser raised to 24,000 from the hijack and Vizenzo Acipella called in the cut-off. The flop was {7-Clubs} {q-Diamonds} {3-Hearts} and Kaiser min-check raised to 66,000 after the Italian had moved 33,000 over the line. Action back onto Acipella and he wasted no time in folding his hand.

After the elimination of Sarwer table two was playing five-handed when Erlend Melsom raised to 25,000 under the gun. Sami Kelopuro three-bet to 69,000 on the button before Konstantinov Aleksandr Valerevish moved all-in prompting two very quick folds.
