There was only so many times that Vicenzo Apicella could be all-in and survive. The variance in this game finally caught up with him.

He open shoved for 184,000 with from the cut-off and Fox cold called from the small blind with . Melsom was in a world of pain but the board came a very helpful . Fox ix down to 430,000 after that blow.
Having had to play the short stack strategy most of the day Stuart Fox now has enough chips to play some poker. Unfortunately, just as he starts to open up his game he gets shut down by Kelopuro.
Fox raised to 32,000 on the button before calling a Kelopuro three-bet for 92,000 out of the small blind. The flop was and Kelopuro c-bet 113,000 and after some consideration Fox folded his hand.
Intrepid reporter Marc Convey brought you the news that Grzegorz Cichocki had recently crippled Lari Sihvo, well the Pole has just finished the job.
Sihvo moved all-in for 123,000, Ronny Kaiser made the call from the small blind before Grzegorz Cichocki moved all-in from the big blind. Kaiser had to let go of his hand and Sihvo and Cichocki were heads up with Sihvo's tournament life at stake.
Lari Sihvo is down to his last 125,000 chips after he paid off Grzegorz Cichocki who hit a hidden straight on the river.
Te Pole raised to 32,000 and Sihvo three-bet to 80,000 from the button. He called to see the flop where both players checked. The turn fell and Cichocki's lead for 124,000 was called by the Finn.
The river came and Sihvo quickly called Cichocki's 207,000 bet but seemed furious with himself when he saw his opponent's for a rivered straight.
A hand over on Table 1 took six minutes to complete and it ended without the players even seeing a flop.
Jani Sointula raised first in from the small blind to 36,000 and Stuart Fox sat for a couple of minutes before making it 100,000 to play. Sointula then went into the tank for a couple of minutes and when he emerged he did so with a four-bet to 185,000. Fox then went into deep thought and after sitting motionless for a further two minutes he announced he was all in. Sointula instantly folded and Fox now has around 750,000 chips.
Vicenzo Apicella should have smelled a rat as soon as the usually hyper-aggressive Grzegorz Cichocki just made up the difference from the small blind. The flop was an ace-tastic looking and both players checked. The turn was the and again both players checked. It was on the river that Cichocki came to life and he bet 25,000 and Apicella called.
Would do the trick? It certainly did and Cichocki scooped the pot.
Arvi Vainionkulma just slow played aces from the small blind but didn't get that much value as the board came very wet.

Raigo Aasmaa has just added an extra 170,000 chips to his stack after a clash with Sami Kelopuro over on Table 1.
It was Jani Sointula who got the hand started when he raised to 37,000 from under the gun. Stuart Fox folded but Kelopuro called from the small blind. Next to act was Aasmaa and he three-bet to 105,000, which was enough to fold out Sointula and enough to send Kelopuro deep into the tank. He stayed there for three minutes before making the call.

Raigo Aasmaa opened to 35,000 from the hijack and when it folded around to PokerStars qualifier Stuart Fox in the small blind he moved all-in. Sami Kelopuro folded the big blind and Aasmaa said, "count!"
