Usero Shoves Spades

Level 29 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante

When we walked up to the {3-Spades} {K-Spades} {7-Clubs} flop, David Bonyaciyan had 410,000 chips out in front of him, and Guillem Usero shoved in response. It was 2.285 million, and Bonyaciyan spent ages in the tank before finally surrendering his cards.

Usero flashed his {J-Spades} {6-Spades}, advertising his flush draw as the dealer pushed him the pot.

Denys Drobyna Eliminated in 5th Place (€160,000)

Denys Drobyna - 5th Place

From under the gun, Denys Drobyna raised all in for 1.22 million. David Boyaciyan called from the next seat and everyone else folded. Drobyna held the {A-Clubs}{7-Clubs} and was dominated by Boyaciyan's {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

The flop, turn and river ran out {K-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}{8-Hearts} to make things quick and easy. Drobyna was eliminated in fifth place for €160,000 while Boyaciyan assumed the chip lead once more. Four left.

Ari Engel Eliminated in 6th Place (€125,000)

From the cutoff seat, Martin Finger raised to 125,000. Ari Engel was on the button and reraised to 850,000 with around 700,000 behind. The blinds folded and then Finger shoved. Engel made the call and put himself at risk.

Engel: {A-Spades}{6-Spades}
Finger: {A-Diamonds}{J-Hearts}

As you can see, Engel was dominated and things weren't looking good. The {9-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{7-Clubs} flop did allow him some chop outs, but the {10-Diamonds} turn and {2-Spades} river failed to keep Engel alive. He was eliminated for €125,000 while Finger assumed the chip lead.

Double Up for Engel

Ari Engel was all in preflop for 800,000 with the {4-Clubs}{4-Spades}. He was hurting against the bigger pair for Denys Drobyna who held the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades}.

The flop came down {9-Clubs}{7-Clubs}{2-Clubs} and Engel picked up outs to a flush as he held the only club in the battle. The turn {A-Spades} changed nothing and left Engel hoping for the river. The {Q-Clubs} rolled off as the final card to the board and Engel had made his flush to double up.

Andreas Wiese Eliminated in 7th Place (€90,000)

Well, Andreas Wiese has come to the end of the road. After doubling back once, he got the last of his chips in good with {5-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} against the {A-Clubs} {3-Clubs} of Martin Finger.

Unfortunately for Wiese, there was an ace on the flop, and board fell {A-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} {2-Spades} {9-Spades} {4-Hearts} to send him off in seventh place. Wiese was given a hearty ovation as he exited, and he'll stop by the cashier's desk to pick up a check for €90,000 on his way out the door.

Drobyna Drinking Double

David Boyaciyan opened to 150,000 under the gun, and Martin Finger flatted in position. In the big blind, though, Denys Drobyna got that squeezy feeling, and he shoved all in for 965,000 total. Boyaciyan made the call, Finger folded, and the cards were on their backs.

Showdown
Boyaciyan: {10-Spades} {10-Diamonds}
Drobyna: {A-Spades} {A-Hearts}

Boyaciyan could not find an out on the {4-Hearts} {4-Spades} {5-Diamonds} {5-Clubs} {7-Spades}, and he's granted Drobyna a double.

Engel Under One Million; Boyaciyan with 40% of Chips

From the under-the-gun-plus-one spot, Ari Engel raised to 120,000. Play folded over to David Boyaciyan and he flat-called. Everyone else folded and play went heads up to the flop with Boyaciyan in position.

After the dealer burned and spread the {9-Clubs}{4-Spades}{3-Clubs} flop, Engel checked. Boyaciyan opted to check behind and for now the pot stayed at 365,000.

The {5-Hearts} came in on the turn and Engel passed the action over to his opponent once more. Boyaciyan wasn't going to give another free card and fired 210,000. A few seconds went by and then Engel called.

The river was the {2-Hearts} and Engel checked. Boyaciyan reached for chips and tossed out five of the black T100,000 variety. Engel went into the tank. After a couple minutes, he began to chuckle while staring at Boyaciyan, who took a sip of his water. Engel then dug for some information, "What's the story my friend? You bluffing me?"

Boyaciyan didn't respond and Engel studied some more. He counted out 500,000 from his stack, but looked held back about wanting to put it in. Eventually, he made the call.

Boyaciyan tabled the {A-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} for the wheel. Engel couldn't beat or tie it and mucked his hand, slipping back under one million. Boyaciyan is now soaring with over 40% of the chips in play.
