Two Bullets Not Enough

Not Dmitry Stelmak
Not Dmitry Stelmak
Dmitry Stelmak raised to 180,000 preflop and Liv Boeree called on the button.

The flop was {5-Spades} {5-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} and Stelmak bet 270,000. Boeree made the call before Stelmak fired 450,000 on the turn {Q-Diamonds}, Boeree called again and the river was the {10-Hearts}.

Stelmak now tanked for several minutes before checking, Boeree immediately checked behing and the Russian had to show {A-Clubs} {9-Clubs} while Boeree scooped the pot with {8-?} {8-?}.

A couple of beaming smiles were spotted on Michael and Nick Binger standing in the audience as she happily scooped another big pot.

Cserei Clipped By Carlsson's Crabs

Jakob Carlsson open-shoved his last 995,000 chips only to see Ramon Cserei re-shove over the top from the button. When the rest of the table ducked out, the cards were turned up with Carlsson squarely at risk and flipping a coin for about 2 million chips.

Showdown
Carlsson: {3-Diamonds} {3-Spades}
Cserei: {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}

The board ran out safe for the all-in Carlsson: {2-Spades} {J-Diamonds} {5-Spades} {K-Spades} {K-Diamonds}. That earns him a much needed double up back over two million on the final hand before the break.

Allan Bække Eliminated in 12th Place (€50,000)

Allan Bække - 12th place
Allan Bække - 12th place
The now super-short Allan Bække got his last in ahead with {A-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} against Jakob Carlsson's {A-Spades} {6-Spades}, but the board ran out {5-Hearts} {J-Spades} {8-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {K-Clubs} to chop the pot.

The next hand Bække shoved again for 245,000 and both Ramon Demon Cserei in the small blind and Alexey Rybin in the big made the call. Bække went and sat down with his girlfriend in the audience as the hand played out.

They saw a {4-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} {2-Spades} flop and Cserei checked. Rybin bet, Cserei folded, and Bække came back to the table.

Bække: {Q-Diamonds} {8-Hearts} that had managed to make top pair
Rybin: {2-Hearts} {2-Diamonds} for a really amazingly premium set

Turn: {9-Clubs} leaving Bække drawing dead

River: {5-Spades}

And with that, the EPT Snowfest champion waved goodbye to his chances of an EPT San Remo trophy to add to his collection.

Per Linde Eliminated in 13th Place (€40,000)

Per Linde - 13th Place
Per Linde - 13th Place
Under the gun, Liv Boeree opened the pot to 180,000. When the table folded to Per Linde, he announced an all in for 1.78 million total. Boeree double-checked her hole cards and quickly made the call with the covering stack, Linde now all in and at risk.

Showdown
Boeree: {K-Clubs} {K-Spades}
Linde: {J-Hearts} {J-Clubs}

The flop was a very dry {6-Clubs} {6-Hearts} {7-Diamonds} to keep Boeree in the lead, and she let out a big sigh and closed her eyes for the remainder of the hand.

The turn was the {Q-Diamonds}, and perhaps it's just as well that Boeree didn't see that scary paint card. The river was scary paint too, but the {K-Diamonds} was the good kind, locking up the pot and the knockout for the Brit.

Per Linde put on a great show this week, but his run has come to an end in unlucky 13th place. We're still waiting for Boeree to stack up, but it looks like she's going to be right at 5 million when she does.

Rinaldi Checks Behind

Claudio Rinaldi was tanking, Toni Pettersson had checked on the {Q-Clubs} {3-Clubs} {2-Hearts} {K-Hearts} {7-Spades} board to him and Rinaldi was debating value betting.

Finally the Swiss player checked behind with a little frustration and Pettersson showed {Q-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} but Rinaldi had him outkicked, turning over {A-Hearts} {Q-Spades} to win the pot.

Bække Crippled

Allan Bække opened for 175,000, but Claudio Piceci made it 450,000 to go. Bække announced all in, Rinaldi called all in without delay, and they were on their backs.

Bække: {5-Spades} {5-Diamonds}
Piceci: {A-Clubs} {K-Diamonds}

As they say, it's a race! Bække wandered off to have some quick words with his girlfriend in the theatre stalls, and when he came back the board was dealt.

Board: {J-Clubs} {9-Clubs} {A-Spades} {10-Clubs} {3-Diamonds}

Bække couldn't win the race, and the EPT Snowfest champion is down to just a few hundred thousand.

Erik Tamm Eliminated in 14th Place (€40,000)

Erik Tamm - 14th place
Erik Tamm - 14th place
It folded around to Claudio Piceci in the small blind who raised to 190,000. Erik Tamm in the big blind shoved for his last 735,000, and after just a few seconds' thought Piceci called.

Piceci: {J-Spades} {9-Spades}
Tamm: {K-Hearts} {Q-Spades}

Board: {3-Spades} {A-Diamonds} {6-Clubs} {7-Hearts} ... {J-Hearts}

Ouch. Once again Tamm was stabbed in the tournament back by a nasty spiky river, and this time it would be his end. He took it with relative equanimity - as he told Michelle Orpe afterwards, "This is tournament poker and I suck at rivers."

On the Rail

The security staff is keeping all spectators out of the theater for today's action, so the room is dark and quiet minus the incessant rattling of chips.

Still, at least a few familiar faces have managed to sneak or bribe their way into the audience. The Brothers Binger, Nick and Michael, are in the front row sweating their pal Liv Boeree. Jon Aguiar just came out of the commentary booth, and he loitered around for a while before heading off to the spa around the corner. And we also spy two massage chicks -- sorry, massage therapists lurking around the perimeter of the tables and waiting to make someone feel incredible.
