Oleksandr Vaserfirer and Alfio "aLFioSn0b" Battisti saw a flop in a small-blind-versus-big-blind confrontation. Vaserfier was first to act on the flop of and checked. Battisti checked behind.
The turn brought the . Vaserfier fired 40,000 and Battisti called.
The river was the and Vaserfirer check-called a bet from Battisti for 75,000. Battisti instantly mucked his hand, and Vaserfirer was awarded the pot without having to show his hand.
After a few orbits of trading blinds and antes, significant action finally broke out.
The first two players kicked in their cards, and Luca Pagano completed from the small blind. Oleksandr Vaserfiner made it 100,000 straight from the big, and Pagano quickly added the matching chips to the pot.
The flop came out , and both players checked. Fourth street brought the , apparently the action card. Pagano stacked out a bet of 150,000, and Vaserfirer quickly reached for raising chips. He settled on 350,000 and moved them across the line in two towers of blue checks.
Pagano would take his time to mull it over before quietly announcing, "All in." Slowly and steadily, he pulled each 20-stack of chips out and stuck them across the betting line. The total was right around 1.1 million, and Vaserfirer shook his head and eventually folded away his hand.
After that big chip-up, Pagano has moved to about 1.45 million, now hot on the heels of Vaserfirer's 1.6 million.
Oleksandr Vaserfirer limped in from the small blind and Alfio "aLFioSn0b" Battisti checked his option in the big blind. The flop came down and Vaserfirer bet out 30,000. Battisti made the call.
The turn revealed the . Both players checked before the river completed the board with the . Vaserfirer fired 50,000 and Battisti made the call.
Vaserfirer showed and Battisti mucked.
Battisti went down to 960,000 while Vaserfirer moved back up to 2.15 million.
From the button, Luca Pagano raised to 70,000. Oleksandr Vaserfirer reraised from the small blind to 180,000. The big blind folded and then Pagano moved all in for a big four-bet. Vaserfirer folded.
Pagano moved up to 1.18 million and Vaserfirer went down to 1.965 million.
Oleksandr Vaserfirer opened to 70,000 from the cutoff seat before Ruslan Prydryk three-bet it to 250,000 on the button. Alfio Battisti quickly folded his small blind, but Christophe Benzimra appeared to be toiling over a tough decision in the big. After a moment's pause, he waved both hands forward in that familiar all-in gesture, committing his final 622,000 chips to the pot.
The play was back on Vaserfirer now, and he let out a big sigh, slumping in his chair slightly. He asked for a count of Prydryk's stack as well, still looking pained. After a minute or two, Vaserfirer simply said, "Call." Prydryk had nearly half of his stack out there already, and he reluctantly called all in for a total of 620,000, putting the largest pot of the tournament up for grabs!
With two players all in, the cards were turned up:
Vaserfirer:
Prydryk:
Benzimra:
"I guess I'm going to need a jack," smirked Benzimra in what would prove to be an impeccable case of dramatic foreshadowing.
The dealer ran the three flop cards out onto the board and flipped them over with the showing right in the door like a beacon of salvation. A gasp spread along the rail as she rolled out the full flop of . The on the turn left both of the others drawing dead to their two-out sets, but the river was a blank .
Despite getting it in with the third-best hand, Christophe Benzimra has notched a massive triple up to about 1.95 million. Don't worry about Vaserfirer; he's still the top dog with 2.15 million.
Unfortunately for Ruslan Prydryk, he has run out of chips thanks to that stunner of a pot. He'll take home fifth-place, earning himself 295,770 PLN.
Oleksandr Vaserfirer raised to 70,000 from middle position. Alfio "aLFioSn0b" Battisti called in the small blind. Acting out of the big blind was Christophe Benzimra and he moved all in for 378,000 in all. Vaserfirer quickly folded his hand, but Battisti tanked for a few minutes. HIs decision was to fold in the end and Benzimra scooped the pot. He did show the to the table as he moved to about 530,000 chips.
On the very next hand, Benzimra moved all in from the small blind after Ruslan Prydryk raised to 70,000. Prydryk folded and Benzimra scooped that pot as well.
