Egemo on His Face

Christoffer Egemo, somehow reduced to shrapnel, moved in under the gun with {3-Diamonds} {6-Hearts} and found a caller with a vastly superior hand. We don't know what that hand was, though, as when we arrived at the table the other player's hand was in the muck and the pot was already being pushed over to Egemo who had made a straight on the {4-?} {10-?} {2-?} X {5-?} board.

He got his new, improved 18,000 stack in again next hand from the big blind to an early position raise from Mitesh Anjaria with the even worse {5-Spades} {2-Hearts} and looked like he might do it again -- but Anjaria's {A-Clubs} {10-Clubs} won in the end and Egemo is out."Welcome to this ugly world of poker, man," said Anjaria.

Board: {4-Hearts} {8-Spades} {3-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {10-Hearts}

Horgmo Hogs the Chips

Some extreme luckiness for Sondre Horgmo after his {A-?} {Q-?} came good against Edmund O'Brien's {A-?} {K-?} on an {A-?} {5-?} {Q-?} {2-?} {6-?} board.

Horgmo is up to around 200,000, while Horgmo is within sight of the felt, on just 5,500.

Alex Left With A Bowl Of Wice

Vivek Rajkumar reraised all-in against Alex Wice, the latter calling with {6-Spades} {6-Clubs} in a race against Rajkumar's {A-Diamonds} {9-Hearts}.

The flop came {2-Hearts} {7-Clubs} {6-Hearts} and Rajkumar seemed dead and buried, but the {5-Clubs} turn combined with {8-Hearts} river gave him the double up and left Wice crippled.

Ross Loses Out To A Boat, Man...

Ross Boatman has been knocked out by Lorenz Roder, Boatman raised preflop to about 12,000 and Roder shoved from the blinds.

Boatman thought for a moment declaring, "I've got a bad feeling about this," but called with {A-Diamonds} {Q-Spades}, Roder showed {J-Hearts} {J-Spades}.

The board came {8-Clubs} {4-Spades} {4-Hearts} {4-Clubs} {10-Hearts} and Boatman found Roder had him just covered and was eliminated.
