Sims Doubles Kemper First Hand
Level 1
: Blinds 100/200, 200 ante
In his first hand of play, Charles Sims opened to 600 and was three-bet to 2,700 by Drake Yearout, but then Sims four-bet to 8,100, and Yearout called.
On the flop 6♦2♣Q♠, Kemper moved all in for his remaining stack of around 18,000 and Sims quickly called to put him at risk.
Kemper then confidently tabled 2♥2♦ for a set of deuces while Sims flipped over A♠K♦. Only a runner-runner straight could win him the pot but the turn 8♠ left him drawing dead. The board completed with the 5♦ and Kemper was awarded the pot for an early double while Sims was left short.
