Break

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The players are now on a 15-minute break. We will bring you full counts shortly.

"F*** the River"

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Abraham Korotki opened to 55,000 from middle position, Jake Toole called in the hijack, and Chalie Hook defended his big blind.

The flop fell {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{8-Hearts}, Hook checked, and Korotki continued for 100,000. Both Toole and Hook called.

The trio all checked after the turn brought the {4-Spades}, and the {5-Hearts} completed the river. Hook checked, Korotki splashed 200,000 in front of him, and only Hook called.

"Flush," Korotki said emphatically, rising from his chair and slamming {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} onto the felt. "YEAH BABY!"

After the hand, Hook announced he had a {4-} for trip fours.

"F*** the river," Korotki said a few minutes later. "Put that on the internet."

Oh Check-Shoves

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jewook Oh raised to 51,000 in the cutoff, Chalie Hook called on his direct left, and both players in the blinds folded. The flop was {k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{q-Clubs}, Oh tossed out another 76,000, and Hook called.

The turn was the {8-Hearts}, Oh checked, and Hook took the opportunity to bet 100,000. Oh moved all in, and Hook snap-folded.

Bryan Choi Eliminated in 10th Place ($13,051)

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante
Bryan Choi - 10th Place
Bryan Choi - 10th Place

Chalie Hook raised to 50,000 in early position, Paul Spitzberg called on his left, Bryan Choi called in the hijack, and Laurence Wolf defended his big blind.

The flop fell {10-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{4-Spades}, Wolf checked, and Hook continued for 75,000. Spitzberg folded, Choi snap-raised to 150,000, and only Hook called.

The turn was a repeat five - the {5-Hearts} - and Hook check-called another 150,000. The {3-Diamonds} completed the board, and Hook moved all in for effectively 550,000 or so. Choi quickly called, revealing {j-Spades}{10-Spades}, but his top pair was no good against Hook's {a-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for the wheel.

Korotki Continues to Plummet

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jake Toole raised to 45,000 in early position, Abraham Korotki defended his big blind, and both players checked on the flop ({9-Spades}{q-Spades}{4-Hearts}) and the turn ({6-Spades}). Korotki immediately fired out 52,000 when the {a-Spades} completed the board, and Toole tanked for about a minute before calling.

Korotki turned over {4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} for a pair of threes, but it was no good against Toole's {a-Clubs}{10-Clubs} for a pair of aces.

Don't Call it a Comeback

Level 23 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Frank Toscano fired out a bet of 75,000 on a board of {8-Spades}{k-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, and Robson Barbosa made the call. The {5-Spades} completed the board, Toscano bet another 100,000, and again Barbosa called.

Toscano hesitated to show his cards, then revealed {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a pair of aces. He was out-kicked, however, by Barbosa's {a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}.

Barbosa, who started the day with 11.5 big blinds, is now flirting with 800,000 chips.
