Hook vs. Wolf

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Laurence Wolf raised to 90,000 in the hijack seat, Chalie Hook three-bet to 200,000 on his direct left, using two of the new white T100,000 chips in the process, and Wolf called.

Wolf and Hook both checked on a flop of {10-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}, and Wolf check-folded to a bet of 200,000 when the {9-Spades} fell on the turn.

The two stacks are now very even.

Barbosa Jams the River

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Robson Barbosa check-called a bet of 175,000 from Jake Toole in a three-bet pot on a flop of {q-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Spades}. Both players checked after the turn brought the {6-Spades}, and the river was a fourth spade - the {7-Spades}.

Barbosa checked, Toole fired out 450,000, and Barbosa moved all in. Toole snap-folded.

Jewook Oh Eliminated in 7th Place ($38,150)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Jewook Oh - 7th Place
Jewook Oh - 7th Place

Jewook Oh three-bet all in for around 550,000 over an under-the-gun raise from Jake Toole. The action folded to Toole, who called, and the cards were on their backs.

Oh: {k-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}
Toole: {a-Hearts}{q-Diamonds}

The flop was extremely interesting; {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{k-Clubs}. Toole made a pair of aces, but Oh made a set of kings and remained in the lead.

The pendulum swung back to Toole when the {10-Diamonds} fell on the turn, giving him Broadway, and unfortunately for Oh the board did not pair on the river. After the meaningless {2-Diamonds} hit the felt, Oh shook some hands before exiting the tournament area.

Toole is up over two million chips.

Andy Spears Eliminated in 8th Place ($29,115)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Andy Spears - 8th Place

Andy Spears open-shoved for around 300,000 in early position, and Chalie Hook looked him up in the big blind.

Spears: {j-Clubs}{j-Spades}
Hook: {a-Hearts}{q-Hearts}

The flop produced all blanks, but the {a-Diamonds} on the turn gave Hook a leading pair of aces. The turn was not the jack Spears was looking for, and he was eliminated.

Started from the Bottom

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Jake Toole raised to 55,000 from under the gun, Jewook Oh three-bet to 138,000 from two seats to his left, and Robson Barbosa cold four-bet to 280,000 from the big blind. Toole quickly folded, while Oh agonized for a bit before making a crying call.

The flop fell {5-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, Barbosa led out for 225,000, and Oh folded.

Check-Calling

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Laurence Wolf checked to Paul Spitzberg in a raised pot on a flop of {k-Clubs}{q-Diamonds}{5-Spades}, and Spitzberg bet 131,000. Wolf called.

Wolf called another 320,000 on the {a-Spades} turn, and yet another 600,000 after the river brought the {j-Clubs}. Wolf showed {5-Hearts}{5-Clubs} for a flopped set of fives, and raked in the monster pot.

Frank Toscano Eliminated in 9th Place ($20,079)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Frank Toscano - 9th Place
Frank Toscano - 9th Place

Frank Toscano open-shoved from early position, Jewook Oh re-shoved on his direct left, and the rest of the players folded.

Toscano: {a-Diamonds}{q-Spades}
Oh: {j-Hearts}{j-Clubs}

The flop came {6-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}, prompting Oh to jump out of his seat and celebrate, but the {10-Spades} on the turn gave Toscano a Broadway draw.

"Not over yet," Chalie Hook said.

The {q-Clubs} completed the board, giving Toscano a pair of queens, but it wasn't enough to survive the all in. He hit the rail, whole Oh is up to about a million chips.
