Tony Hachem Eliminated

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Tony Hachem was down to around 45,000, which he shoved from under the gun. An opponent called him with {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds} in middle position, and Hachem needed a hook as he held {j-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. No such luck as the board ran {7-Clubs}{3-Spades}{5-Spades}{10-Clubs}{k-Clubs}.

Hachem thanked his opponents for a good game and headed to the rail.

Burns Busts Swannack

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Soon after his triple triple up, Hamza Firdawcy was eliminated by Jack Wu, who jumped above half a million in chips.

On his way to achieve the same feat is also UK's Simon Burns after he just knocked out Cole Swannack.

It was a flip with the {a-Spades}{k-Clubs} for Burns and the {10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} of Swannack. The board came {k-Hearts}{6-Spades}{2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} and the king on the flop sealed the fate for Swannack.

David Steicke
David Steicke

David Steicke used to be regularly seen in poker rooms around the world. But not so much in recent years as his lifelong passion for Wolverhampton Wanderers has taken up most of his spare time. Steicke, who resides in Hong Kong, regularly flies to England's West Midlands to watch his favorite team compete on the Premier League stage. And the Wolves have been doing quite alright in recent years, giving Steicke good cause to skip poker action. However, he wouldn't miss the Aussie Millions where he plays dressed in the Wolves colors. Read more in this PokerNews feature.

Yockey Bests Burns

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Four players were still in the hand on a {j-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{q-Hearts}{6-Spades} board. One player checked to Bryce Yockey who bet 16,000. Kahle Burns called in the next position and both other players folded.

Yockey checked the {6-Hearts} river to Burns who bet 23,000. Yockey thought before calling.

"Queen," announced Burns, but Yockey tabled {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts} for the ace-high flush and took down the pot.

Pekarek Holds With Top Set

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

A flurry of action followed an {8-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop at Table 31. It appeared a player on the button bet, Jeremy Pekarek raised to around 35,000 in the small blind and the big blind moved all in. The bettor folded but Pekarek quickly called with {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} for the nuts.

He was up against {a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and the draw bricked out on the {6-Diamonds} turn and {3-Hearts} river, so Pekarek collected his neighbor's 150,000 or so.

Jouhkimainen Doubles Through Yockey

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

The roller coaster ride of Joni Jouhkimainen on Day 3 continues as he just added another chapter to it by doubling through Bryce Yockey.

The Finn was all in for 120,500 with {k-Spades}{k-Diamonds} and Yockey had one overcard holding the {a-Spades}{q-Clubs}.

On the {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} flop, Jouhkimainen made top set and the {3-Hearts} turn came a blank, as did the {4-Clubs} on the river.

No Chops on Table 48

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Ben Lamb was all-in for 74,500 on the button and he picked up a caller in Fabian Quoss in late position.

Ben Lamb: {a-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Fabian Quoss: {a-Spades}{j-Clubs}

After the {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Hearts} flop Lamb asked for a chop and instead spiked the {9-Spades} turn, the {8-Spades} river secured his double up.

It wouldn't take long until the next all-in showdown took place on the same table and this time, it was Warwick Dunnett at risk for just over 100,000.

Warwick Dunnett: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}
Fabian Quoss: {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}

Again Lamb predicted a chop after the {a-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{2-Spades} flop, the {4-Diamonds} turn changed nothing but the {j-Hearts} on the river improved Quoss to two pair and triggered several gasps from the players at the table.

Zobian Calls, Doubles

Level 15 : 2,000/4,000, 4,000 ante

Already, the pot contained a pile of chips at Table 10, and Aram Zobian in early position was facing a bet of 70,000 out of Rishabh Vekaria in the cutoff. The board read {6-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{9-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Zobian called, leaving himself only about 60,000. On the {q-Spades} river, he checked and Vekaria shoved. Zobian sighed and leaned back, then stuck some chips in.

Vekaria shook his head and showed {a-Spades}{3-Spades}, with Zobian showing {7-Spades}{7-Diamonds} for a set.
