Burns Busts Luong

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante
Simon Burns
Simon Burns

Simon Burns made it 2,600 in the second position and Mai Ha flatted on the button. David Luong raised all in from the big blind and Burns shoved over the top.

"F**k my life," Ha sighed, leaning back in his chair. Then he folded pocket tens.

"I miscounted my stack, I thought I had 20 bigs," Luong said when he observed that his shove was for around 40,000.

Luong trailed with {a-Hearts}{j-Clubs} against {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} and the dealer rolled out a flop of {10-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}.

"F**k my life!" Ha sighed again.

The rest of the board ran out {4-Clubs} and {6-Spades} and Burns knocked Luong out of the tournament.

Another Miracle River for Kessler

Level 10 : 600/1,200, 1,200 ante

Allen Kessler defended his big blind against a min-raise from under the gun and jammed the {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop for the final 14,400, which the initial raiser called in a matter of a second.

Kessler was trailing with {2-Clubs}{2-Spades} versus {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts} and the {9-Clubs} turn blanked, however, the {2-Diamonds} fell on the river to provide yet another miracle double up.

Yockey Above 200,000; Levy Eliminated

Level 9 : 500/1,000, 1,000 ante

Grant Levy opened to 2,300 from under the gun and Bryce Yockey raised to 7,000. Levy called.

The flop came {3-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{4-Spades} and Levy check-called 5,000. The turn was the {9-Diamonds} and Levy check-called 15,000.

The river was the {j-Hearts} and Levy check-called 30,000. Yockey showed {a-Hearts}{a-Clubs} and took down the pot.

Levy then got his remaining 18,000 chips in with {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} against the {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} of Jack Salter.

The king-high board of {k-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{5-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{4-Clubs} gave Salter top pair and sent Levy to the rail just short of the break.
