Kisacikoglu Takes From Kempe

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Rainer Kempe raised to 14,000 for the second hand in a row and this time the action went past the flop as Orpen Kisacikoglu called on the button. The {j-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{6-Spades} flop was checked by Kempe and Kisacikoglu bet 25,000. Kempe used one time bank extension and called to see the {q-Spades} on the turn, which ended up being checked through.

After the {8-Diamonds} river, Kempe made it 30,000 to go and Kisacikoglu raised it up to 86,000. Kempe let his 30 seconds shot clock run down to zero and released his cards into the muck.

Katz's New Tactic Doesn't Work Out

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

On a {10-Hearts}{5-Spades}{k-Hearts}{4-Spades} board, after Cary Katz check-called 14,000 out of the big blind against under-the-gun aggressor Orpen Kisacikoglu, Katz bet 6,000 on the {4-Spades} river.

"I'm not being greedy!" said Katz as Kisacikoglu pondered his decision. Kisacikoglu then raised to 31,000 and Katz immediately called.

Kisacikoglu tabled {k-Spades}{9-Spades} for kings and fours and took down the pot.

Addamo Jams Into Adams

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

The action started rather innocent with a raise to 12,000 by Michael Addamo and a call from Timothy Adams on the button, Erik Seidel in the big blind made it three ways to the {10-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop. A check by Seidel resulted in a continuation bet of 12,000 by Addamo and Adams was the only caller.

On the {8-Diamonds} turn both players checked and Addamo bet the {3-Clubs} river for just 7,000. Adams raised it up to exactly tens times of that and Addamo waved his hands to see the stack of his opponent. He then used a time bank and moved all-in, Adams opted to fold within the allocated 30-second shot clock.

"How much for that one, Addamo? Show the bluff, it is good for the news," Cary Katz inquired. Addamo smiled and pushed his cards to the muck before collecting the pot.

Kempe Shoves on Seidel

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Erik Seidel opened to 13,000 from under the gun and Rainer Kempe three-bet to 32,000 from the next position.

Seidel called and the flop was {8-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}. Seidel check-called 30,000 and the turn as the {9-Spades}.

Seidel checked again, but ultimately folded to the 170,000 shove from Kempe.

Kempe Doubles Through Addamo

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Michael Addamo raised it up and he then called the shove of Rainer Kempe, who was at risk as the shortest stack of the nine finalists for 79,000 total.

Rainer Kempe: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}

The board came {a-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Spades} and Kempe had the checkmark on the turn to remain in contention.

Katz Wins Small Pot Against Addamo

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante

Cary Katz raised to 12,000 from early position and picked up one caller in Michael Addamo. The {10-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} flop and {9-Diamonds} turn were checked through and Katz also checked the {6-Hearts} on the river. Addamo made it 26,000 to go and Katz called to get shown the {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} by Addamo, which he had beat with {j-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

Kristen Bicknell Eliminated in 10th Place (A$119,310)

Level 14 : 3,000/6,000, 6,000 ante
Kristen Bicknell
Kristen Bicknell

Cary Katz raised to 12,500 and Kristen Bicknell moved all in for 129,000. Katz made the call and they already turned over their cards even though the action on the other table was not completed yet. The cards were turned back over again as they awaited the outcome and only then proceeded with the showdown.

Kristen Bicknell: {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}
Cary Katz: {a-Hearts}{k-Clubs}

"How are you running in flips?" Bicknell inquired with a smile on the face while she was being massaged and Katz nodded silently.

The {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop gave Katz top two pair and Bicknell found no help on the {6-Clubs} turn and {q-Diamonds} river to become the first casualty in the money for a payday of A$119,310. All remaining nine players will now redraw to the final table.

Bicknell Doubles Through Kisacikoglu and Katz

Level 13 : 2,500/5,000, 5,000 ante

Kristen Bicknell raised to 23,500 from under the gun and left 10,000 behind, which was called by Orpen Kisacikoglu in the big blind. The flop brought {9-Diamonds}{8-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Kisacikoglu bet 10,000, Bicknell called all-in after brief consideration.

Kristen Bicknell: {a-Hearts}{3-Clubs}
Orpen Kisacikoglu: {k-Spades}{7-Spades}

The {3-Hearts} turn and {j-Spades} river kept ace-high in the lead and Bicknell doubled.

In the next hand, she defended her big blind against a button raise by Cary Katz and checked the {a-Spades}{j-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop. Katz bet 50,000 and called the shove of Bicknell for 9,000 more.

Kristen Bicknell: {a-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}
Cary Katz: {q-Clubs}{q-Hearts}

Katz picked up some further outs on the {10-Clubs} turn but the {10-Hearts} river secured the back-to-back double.

Once the hand was completed and upon the request of several players, floor staff announced that the final table bubble would be played hand-for-hand also.
