Kozlov Pulls The Trigger

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Hun Lee bumped up his stack after winning a pot without showdown against Fabian Brandes to regain a comfortable lead.

He then called a raise to 40,000 by Stephen Chidwick while sitting on the button and Martin Kozlov announced a pot-sized raise for 176,000. Kozlov had 68,000 behind and Chidwick folded after some consideration, Lee snap-folded.

Lee Pulls Further Ahead

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Hun Lee raised to 35,000 and picked up a call by Stephen Chidwick in the big blind. They checked the {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{3-Hearts} on the flop and the {a-Hearts} appeared on the turn. Chidwick opted to check once more and a bet of 50,000 by Lee won the pot right there.

Chidwick then raised to 40,000 in the cutoff and Lee came along from the button. Jorryt van Hoof in the big blind made it three ways to the {10-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} flop on which the action checked to Lee. He bet 70,000 and raked in the pot after two quick folds ended the hand.

Kozlov Wins One; Loses One

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

On the tail end of a hand between Najeem Ajez and Martin Kozlov, the former bet the {j-Spades}{10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} river for 60,000 and Kozlov called. Ajez showed his cards briefly but could not beat the {a-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{10-Clubs}{2-Spades} of Kozlov.

Shortly after, Kozlov limped in and Stephen Chidwick checked out of the big blind. They checked the {a-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop and {2-Hearts} turn. Chidwick bet the pot for 40,000 on the {7-Spades} river and Kozlov called after short consideration. Once Chidwick revealed {q-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} for two pair, Kozlov sent his cards into the muck.

Fabian Brandes Eliminated in 6th Place (A$99,120)

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante
Fabian Brandes
Fabian Brandes

On a {10-Diamonds}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts} flop, Fabian Brandes was all in for around 325,000 against chip leader Hun Lee.

Brandes held {a-Hearts}{a-Diamonds}{7-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for pocket aces and was ahead of Lee's {k-Diamonds}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} for a pair of tens.

The turn {j-Clubs} improved Lee to an open-ended straight draw, but the river {q-Diamonds} improved him further still to two pair to send Brandes to the rail.

Kozlov Takes Some From Lee

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Hun Lee raised the pot to 48,000 in the small blind and Martin Kozlov came along out of the big blind. On the {q-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs} flop, Lee checked and called a bet of 48,000 by Kozlov.

Neither the {j-Diamonds} turn nor the {8-Spades} river provided any betting action and the last aggressor Kozlov tabled the {a-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} for two pair, which ended up winning the pot.

Van Hoof Doubles Through Lee

Level 18 : 8,000/16,000, 0 ante

Hun Lee raised to 35,000 on the button and was called by Jorryt van Hoof in the big blind. Both checked the {8-Hearts}{4-Spades}{3-Spades} flop and van Hoof check-jammed his remaining stack of 160,000 on the {9-Hearts} turn, Lee called instantly.

Jorryt van Hoof: {q-Hearts}{j-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}
Hun Lee: {9-Spades}{7-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{3-Hearts}

Several straight and flush draws for both players were up for grabs and it was van Hoof that got there on the {q-Spades} river to score the double up.

Stephen Chidwick

On a {q-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} flop Stephen Chidwick was at risk for 220,000 after calling a shove from Jorryt van Hoof who covered him by around 50,000.

Stephen Chidwick: {k-Clubs}{k-Spades}{10-Spades}{5-Clubs}
Jorryt van Hoof: {a-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

Chidwick was ahead with his overpair against the top pair of Van Hoof. The turn was the {7-Clubs} giving Van Hoof an open-ended straight draw.

The river {a-Hearts} improved him to two pair and after a quick check, Chidwick was ascertained to be the short stack and he was eliminated.

Small Pots After Dinner

Level 19 : 10,000/20,000, 0 ante

Martin Kozlov limped in and Jorryt van Hoof checked his option to see the {10-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{4-Clubs} flop. Kozlov bet the minimum and van Hoof folded.

Kozlov then raised the pot to 70,000 on the button the next hand and short stack Najeem Ajez forfeited his big blind.

A limp by van Hoof on the button resulted in the check of Hun Lee in the big blind. Lee checked the {j-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} flop and folded once he faced a bet of 30,000.
