Clark Rises Without Showdown
Level 6
: 250/500, 75 ante
Kevin Clark was involved in a bigger pot and chipped up without showdown. By the time the river showed , there were more than 25,000 in the middle and Clark faced a bet of 15,000, then slid forward a tower of T-5,000 chips to give his opponent the option to fold and forfeit a big portion of his stack or call all in.
Another player at the table went on to explain that it started rather innocent with a raise and call, followed by a check-call on the flop. On the turn, the second player in the hand bet 3,500 and Clark raised to 10,000, received a call, before the river escalated.
No call followed and Clark claimed the pot without having to show his cards, further strengthening his claim to be one of the big stacks at the end of the night.
