Solaas on a Rampage

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Espen Solaas
Espen Solaas

Espen Solaas has kicked things into overdrive and just picked up back-to-back three-bet pots to jump over the 6M mark. In the first hand, Mike Delvecchio raised to 55,000, Solaas three-bet to 250,000 from the big blind and Del Vecchio called.

The {7-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{J-Diamonds}{4-Spades} board got checked down. Solaas showed {A-Clubs}{3-Clubs} for ace-high and Del Vecchio flung his hand in the muck.

In the next hand, Artur Koren raised to 50,000 on the button, Solaas three-bet to 220,000 from the small blind and Koren called. Solaas bet 150,000 on the {Q-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} flop and Koren folded instantly.

Kim Auf raised to 55,000 with the {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Kahle Burns called with the {2-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Johan Schumacher moved all in out of the big blind with the {8-Spades}{8-Clubs} and forced two folds.

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante
Vincent Chua
Vincent Chua

Four players saw a flop after Vincent Chua had raised in middle position. On the {J-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} flop, Chua bet 80,000 and Artur Koren called on the button. Espen Solaas raised to 315,000 out of the small blind, Tu Lan folded his big blind, Chau shoved all in for 592,000 total, Koren folded, and Solaas instantly called.

Vincent Chua: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Diamonds}
Espen Solaas: {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}

It's been all Solaas for the past hour or so and the Norwegian was in a commanding spot to extend his chip lead even further. Chua needed one of the remaining queens but didn't catch them on the {7-Spades} turn and {10-Clubs} river. He bowed out in 18th place and collected a sweet payday of A$80,000 for his run.

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Kahle Burns raised to 54,000 with the {10-Diamonds}{10-Spades} and Kim Au three-bet big to 265,000 with the {A-Clubs}{K-Diamonds} in the small blind. Burns gave it some consideration and folded.

Johan Schumacher opened to 52,000 with {Q-Hearts}{9-Hearts} and Chul-Hyon Park's three-bet to 135,000 with the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} won the pot right there.

Burns raised from the button and Ari Engel called with the {10-Hearts}{2-Hearts}. On the {7-Clubs}{3-Clubs}{2-Clubs} flop, Engel checked and called a bet of 60,000 by Burns to see the {9-Spades} turn. Engel checked and Burns made it 206,000 to go. Engel folded and the cards of Burns were eventually revealed, it were the {A-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}.
