Peng Doubles with Two Outer

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Tang Peng moved all in for 191,000 from under the gun and the action folded around to Derek Wolters in the big blind. He made the call and they waited for the action on the other table to be finished. Francesco Sergi said he folded a king and that was bad news for Peng.

Peng: {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}
Wolters: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

The flop {K-Clubs}{J-Spades}{3-Clubs} left Wolters with just one out to scoop the pot and let the bubble for the unofficial final table burst. However, the miracle never happened with the {6-Spades} turn and {2-Clubs} as final two community cards.

Peng Left Short

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Max Chin raised to 45,000 and was called by Tang Peng. On the flop {9-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{A-Spades}, Peng check-called a bet of 35,000 and did so again for 55,000 on the {2-Clubs} turn. The {2-Spades} came on the river and Peng checked. Chin asked for his stack, which amounted to less than eight big blinds, and then moved all in to enforce a snap fold from his opponent.

Chin Continues Pressure

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Table Seven saw two raises and successful three-bets with barely any hand going to the flop thus far. On table eight, Max Chin has taken over control.

He raised to 40,000 from the button and Derek Wolters called in the big blind. On the flop {10-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}{8-Hearts} both players checked, Wolters then check-folded the {3-Diamonds} turn when Chin bet 42,000.

One hand later, Tang Peng checked the flop {2-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{8-Diamonds} and Chin checked behind. The {Q-Hearts} turn saw Peng's check and a bet of 35,000 by Chin, which was called. The same happened on the {A-Diamonds} river for 45,000 and Chin's {A-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} scooped the pot.

Sergi Turns The Straight

Francesco Sergi
Francesco Sergi

Francesco Sergi shipped it in for 152,000 on a {10-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{9-Clubs} flop with about 70,000 in the middle, heads up with chip leader Derek Wolters.

Wolters called with the {10-Spades}{q-Clubs} and was ahead of Sergi's {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts} until the {q-Spades} turn completed Sergi's open-ender.

The {j-Diamonds} river didn't change things and Sergi doubled up.

Kornuth Busts to Gupta

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Chance Kornuth
Chance Kornuth

Ashish Gupta raised to 35,000 from the button and Chance Kornuth moved all in from the small blind for 281,000. Sam Steindl folded in the big blind and Gupta quickly called.

Kornuth: {A-Diamonds}{8-Spades}
Gupta: {A-Hearts}{K-Spades}

There was no help for the American pro on the board {3-Spades}{Q-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{10-Spades}, however he picked up the second cash in Melbourne after just arriving here a few days ago and then successfully jumping into the Shotclock Shootout.
