Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Park Yu Cheung
Park Yu Cheung

Walter Treccarichi made it 50,000 and Park Yu Cheung defended his big blind.

Both checked the {a-Clubs}{a-Spades}{9-Hearts} flop, but Cheung led the {3-Clubs} turn for 60,000. Treccarichi called and the {2-Hearts} river was revealed.

Cheung led for 150,000 and as his shot clock was about to expire, Treccarichi called. Cheung rolled over the {a-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Treccarichi mucked.

Play Slowing Down

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Play has slowed right down here on this final table. We haven't seen a turn card for some time, with a lot of raising and taking it down. Players are tightening up as the top end of the payout scale creeps up.

Simon Chahine moved all-in from the button, and Daniel Neilson moved all-in over the top from the small blind. Walter Treccarichi folded the big blind and the cards were opened.

Chahine: {k-Spades}{q-Spades}
Neilson: {10-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}

Neilson's Ten's held up as the board ran out {3-Clubs}{6-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}, and Simon Chahine was eliminated in 5th place for AU$29,050

Neilson Doubles Through Chahine

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Daniel Neilson just swapped spots at the bottom of the counts with Simon Chahine, calling all in when Chahine shoved the small blind.

It was Chahine on the {7-Spades}{7-Clubs} and Neilson holding the {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}. The board ran out {a-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and Neilson doubled.

Cheung Makes A Million

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Walter Treccarichi shoved over a Park Yu Cheung standard 45,000-chip open and Cheung called off his 510,000-chip stack with the {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts}.

Treccarichi had the {a-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} and the bigger stack, doubling Cheung up to a seven figures after the {7-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} run out.

Christian Nolte Eliminated in 6th Place ($20,755)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Christian Nolte
Christian Nolte

Christian Nolte got his relatively short stack in with the {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades} up against chip leader Walter Treccarichi's {q-Spades}{8-Spades}.

Nolte looked good for the double through the turn of a {9-Clubs}{k-Hearts}{j-Hearts}{2-Clubs} board. But the {8-Diamonds} river gave Treccarichi a bigger pair, crushing all Nolte's hopes and dreams.

Chahine Doubles Through Neilson

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

Simon Chahine moved all-in from the small blind and was called by Daniel Neilson in the big blind. Chahine opened {k-Hearts}{j-Diamonds}, but was severely dominated by Neilson's {a-Hearts}{k-Spades}.

The flop came {4-Clubs}{9-Spades}{q-Hearts}, giving Chahine a straight draw. The {q-Clubs} hit the turn, then the {j-Clubs} hit the river, giving Chahine a pair of jacks and a timely double up.

Andrew Hinrichsen Eliminated in 7th Place ($15,220)

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante
Andrew Hinrichsen
Andrew Hinrichsen

Walter Treccarichi made it 45,000 under the gun and Andrew Hinrichsen defended his big blind.

Hinrichsen checked the {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} flop, then check-raised all in when Treccarichi made it 65,000. Treccarichi called with the {a-Clubs}{k-Spades} and Hinrichsen was at risk with the {a-Spades}{8-Spades}.

The {6-Clubs} turn and {2-Hearts} river were the last cards Hinrichsen would see in this event as he hit the door seventh.

Raise and Take It

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

The seven finalist have really tightened up with a flop becoming a rarity here.

Shorter stacks Park Yu Cheung and Christian Nolte have taken turns shoving in preflop, but as of yet, no one has called.

The rest of the action has been filled with a lot of raise and take it as Level 22 continues.
