Sagias Doubles Twice

Level 15 : 2,500/5,000, 0 ante

Within two hands, Ilias Sagias went from short stack to above-average. First a small pot emerged to the flop {J-Spades}{10-Hearts}{6-Spades} and Jarryd Godena bet 12,000. Sagias shoved and was called.

Sagias: {A-Spades}{9-Clubs}{8-Clubs}{2-Spades}
Godena: {J-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs}

The {K-Clubs} turn was a blank, but the {8-Spades} river gave Sagias the nut flush to double up.

Then, Sagias repotted preflop out of the small blind and Daniel Laidlaw called. Sagias shoved the {A-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{5-Clubs} flop for 31,500 with a pot of 120,000 already in the middle. Laidlaw tank-called, knowing he was well behind.

Sagias: {A-Clubs}{A-Spades}{J-Hearts}{3-Hearts}
Laidlaw: {Q-Spades}{J-Diamonds}{9-Spades}{7-Hearts}

Both the {6-Hearts} turn and {7-Diamonds} river changed nothing whatsoever and Sagias doubled up for the second time.
