Dix vs Abdine

Level 21 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Brendon Rubie won the first hand back from the break and then Shivan Abdine raised to 43,000. Michael Dix flat-called on the button and so did Joris Ruijs in the big blind. On the flop {A-Hearts}{K-Hearts}{6-Spades}, Abdine continued for 65,000 and Dix raised it up for 115,000 more on top to scoop the pot uncontested.

Ruijs limped the small blind and Rubie checked the big blind. The {K-Spades}{K-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop saw the Dutchman check-call a bet of 22,000 by Rubie before both players checked the {4-Diamonds} on the turn. Rubie then bet 48,000 when Ruijs had checked the {8-Hearts} and that won the pot. The Aussie also won the big blind and antes the next hand by shoving into short stack Dennis Huntly.

Lou Bluffs Off Heaps

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Brendon Rubie defended his big blind against a 50,000-chip button raise from Xixiang Luo.

The flop fell {k-Clubs}{4-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Rubie check-called 65,000. He also check-called 140,000 on the {a-Diamonds} turn and finally, when Lou bet 360,000 on the {3-Spades} river, Rubie tossed in a single-chip call.

Luo mucked and Rubie collected the massive pot without showing his hand either.

Woodhead Doubles Through Ruijs

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Brendon Rubie opened to 36,000 and then folded once short stack Dennis Huntly three-bet for 75,000 more.

One hand later, Rubie raised to 36,000 from under the gun and Stephen Woodhead announced all in. The action folded to Joris Ruijs and he asked for an exact count, it was 181,000 in total. Ruijs then looked up the short stack and Rubie quickly got out of the way.

Woodhead: {K-Hearts}{K-Spades}
Ruijs: {A-Hearts}{Q-Clubs}

The board ran out {10-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} and the Brit doubled, almost closing the gap to the Dutchman as well.

Bounty Hunting

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Dennis Huntly
Dennis Huntly

Dennis Huntly made it 35,000 on the button and Shivan Abdine thought about it for a minute before pushing all in from the small blind.

The big blind folded and Huntly was faced with a decision for his tournament life and 240,000-chip stack. He folded and his $1,000 bounty remains up for grabs as his stack becomes increasingly short.

Dix Gets Involved Often

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

From the small blind, Michael Dix limped and Xixiang Luo checked his option in the big blind. On the flop {K-Spades}{5-Spades}{3-Hearts}, Dix bet 30,000 and was called before firing 52,000 on the {8-Hearts} turn. Luo raised to 200,000 and won the pot.

Then, Shivan Abdine raised to 36,000 and Joris Ruijs called. On the {Q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Hearts}, the Dutchman quickly check-folded.

Abdine raised to 36,000 once again and Dix three-bet to 75,000. Abdine called and check-called the flop {K-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} for 67,000. The {10-Diamonds} turn was checked through and Abdine then check-folded the {J-Clubs} river to a bet worth 87,000.

Last but not least, Dix raised to 32,000 and Luo three-bet to 80,000 with Dix coming along. On the {K-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, Dix checked and Luo bet. Before the dealer had even verified the amount due, Dix had already sent his cards into the muck.

One Move

Level 20 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Stephen Woodhead
Stephen Woodhead

Stephen Woodhead has found a way to chip up: Move all in.

He did so once, open shoving. No one called. The second time he pushed over a Dennis Huntly 35,000-chip open and got Huntly to lay it down.

Woodhead is still relatively short, but on the climb.
