Ferenc Riech Eliminated in 10th Place ($18,950)

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Ferenc Riech
Ferenc Riech

Phachara Wongwichit raised to 110,000 from early position and short stack Ferenc Riech defended his big blind to see the flop {8-Hearts}{J-Spades}{4-Hearts}. The German, who came back from the previous break as chip leader and then lost the majority of his stack with two expensive small pocket pairs, gave it some thought before announcing all in.

Wongwichit snap-called within one second and they turned them over:

Riech: {A-Diamonds}{4-Spades}
Wongwichit: {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

The German was all in and at risk for around 430,000 and needed a four or an ace to stay alive. The {Q-Spades} on the turn barely changed anything before the {6-Spades} on the river sent Riech to the rail in 10th place for a payday of A$18,950.

Riech Dropping More; Thomas Doubles

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Another spot for Ferenc Riech ended up in an all in situation with the German picking up a pocket pair and his opponent, Alexandre Thomas, finding the higher pair. Both had some history already, as the day kicked off with a min-three-bet by Thomas and him then showing a set of kings. The Aussie min-clicked more than half a dozen times and claimed in table chat to have had premium hands, thus Riech four-bet shoved in this spot.

The Perth-based player was all in and at risk for 700,000, which accounted to more than half of the stack of Riech.

Riech: {6-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Thomas: {K-Spades}{K-Clubs}

The Australian rail went crazy after they saw the cards in play and ended up celebrating with the board running out {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{Q-Clubs}{5-Spades}{K-Diamonds}. There is now a short break to set up the ten-handed table.

Zizic Zapped; Final Table Set

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Tatjana Zizic
Tatjana Zizic

Tatjana Zizic open shoved the button for 425,000 and Sinan Aydogan called from the small blind.

The big blind folded and Zizic was in trouble with here {a-Spades}{5-Clubs} dominated by Aydogan's {a-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}. The board rolled out {2-Diamonds}{4-Hearts}{k-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{k-Spades} to send Zizic home 11th and set up a final table of ten.

Seymour Busts to Salter

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Seymour
Michael Seymour

Louis Salter opened the action with a raise to 100,000 from the button and short stack Michael Seymour announced all in for 425,000. Salter asked for an exact count, then cut out the chips for the call before counting his stack once again. The Brit then slowly but surely slid them forward:

Salter: {J-Hearts}{9-Hearts}
Seymour: {A-Diamonds}{2-Spades}

On the {5-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-Clubs} flop, Salter paired his jack and took the lead. Seymour was in need of a deuce or ace, but the board completed with the {6-Spades} turn and {9-Clubs} river. The field was reduced to 11 players and the tournament went to hand-for-hand, as the unofficial final table combines at 10 players.

Zizic Shoves Into Wongwichit

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante

Tatjana Zizic raised to 105,000 from the button and then folded to the shove of Patrick Fletcher.

One hand later, Zizic raised again to 105,000 and Phachara Wongwichit called in the big blind. On the flop {2-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Spades}, Wongwichit led 85,000 and then folded to a shove of 385,000 more on top by Zizic.

Dahl Doubles Through Riech

Level 25 : 25,000/50,000, 5,000 ante
Jacob Elmore Dahl
Jacob Elmore Dahl

Jacob Elmore Dahl opened the cutoff to 115,000 and Ferenc Riech jammed the button.

Dahl tank-called for his tournament life and was in great shape to double with the {8-Clubs}{8-Diamonds} over Riech's {3-Spades}{3-Hearts}.

The board rolled out {9-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{k-Diamonds}{6-Spades} and double up Dahl did, knocking Riech off the top spot on the counts.
