Phaedonos Doubles in Last Hand Before Dinner

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Andrew Phaedonos
Andrew Phaedonos

Vincent Rubianes opened with a raise only to have a short-stacked Andrew Phaedonos three-bet all in from the big blind. Rubianes made the call and the cards were turned up.

Phaedonos: {a-Spades}{k-Hearts}
Rubianes: {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}

Phaedonos was ahead, and he took a hammerlock on the hand when the {3-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} flop delivered him an ace. The {4-Spades} turn left Rubianes drawing dead, and after the {9-Hearts} was run out on the river, Phaedonos was pushed the pot.

We'll have updated counts for you shortly.

Seiver Doubles Yet Again

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Ami Barer opened to 120,000 from under the gun, Scott Seiver moved all in for around half a million from the small blind, and Barer called.

Barer: {k-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Seiver: {k-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}

The {6-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds} flop changed very little, and although the {q-Diamonds} on the turn confirmed that Seiver would not be eliminated, the two could chop the pot with a ten on the river.

The river was a brick ({5-Hearts}), however, and Seiver secured the double.

Rabinowitz Cracks Kings to Double Big

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Darren Rabinowitz
Darren Rabinowitz

Ami Barer opened for 120,000 and received a call from Andrew Phaedonos. Darren Rabinowitz then moved all in from the small blind, the big folded, and Barer wasted little time in making the call. Phaedonos got out of the way and the cards were turned up.

Barer: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Rabinowitz: {a-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}

Phaedonos informed his friends on the rail that he had folded an ace, which meant there were just two left in the deck. The odds were against Rabinowitz, but that didn't stop him from taking the lead when the {5-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop delivered him one of those aces.

Rabinowitz's rail, which includes reigning World Series of Poker Main Event champ Ryan Riess, went wild for their man while Phaedonos' rail, who are no doubt hoping their man would move up the pay ladder, were vocally disappointed.

Neither the {5-Spades} turn nor {2-Spades} river changed a thing and Rabinowitz doubled through Barer.

Phaedonos Moves All In

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Andrew Phaedonos moved all in over a completion from Ami Barer, and Barer tossed his hand in the muck to the applause of the locals on the rail.

Barer Trips Up Mizzi

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante

Ami Barer opened for a raise to 120,000 in the cutoff, Sorel Mizzi three-bet to 305,000 on the button, and both blinds released. Barer made the call.

Both players checked on a flop of {4-Spades}{7-Hearts}{3-Spades}, and Barer check-called a bet after the turn brought the {j-Clubs}. The river was the {j-Diamonds}, Barer led out for 420,000, and Mizzi tanked for a considerable amount of time before calling.

Barer showed {a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} for trip jacks, and Mizzi mucked his hand.

Everyone Goes After a Big Three-Way Pot

Level 27 : 30,000/60,000, 5,000 ante
Sorel Mizzi
Sorel Mizzi

Sorel Mizzi opened for 120,000 from early position and Scott Seiver called from the button. Ami Barer came along from the big blind and three players saw a flop of {j-Diamonds}{7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}. Barer checked, Mizzi bet 220,000, and Seiver called.

Barer then woke up with a check-raise to 485,000, both his opponents called, and the dealer burned and turned the {J-Clubs}. Barer slowed down with a check, Mizzi did the same, and Seiver came out with a bet of 435,000. Barer quickly folded, and then Mizzi sprung to life with an all-in check-raise. Seiver, who only had 800,000 or so behind, snap-folded.
