Two hands later, Pamplona opened to 105,000 on the button and Tsai came along in the big blind. They checked the A♠9♥8♦ flop and Tsai bet 200,000 on the 10♦ turn, Pamplona called. Following the K♠ river, Tsai checked and folded to a bet of 500,000.

The action kicked off with an open raise to 105,000 by Junnie Pamplona from under the gun. Evgenii Nekrasov, who had been distracted ahead of the hand after what had just happened moments earlier, then pushed all-in for 835,000 in the small blind.
Pamplona wasted little time in making the call and a small crowd gathered around the feature table.
