Small Pots to Kapoor and Backhouse

Level 23 : Blinds 10,000/25,000, 25,000 ante

On the tail end of a heads-up pot between Akshay Kapoor in early position and Chris Backhouse in the cutoff, both players checked the {10-Hearts}{9-Hearts}{8-Clubs}{6-Spades} turn. The {7-Hearts} river was also checked by Kapoor and Backhouse checked it back to get shown the {a-Diamonds}{j-Spades} for the jack-high straight.

One hand later, Backhouse opened to 50,000 and Nevan Chang called from the big blind to then check the {k-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Clubs} flop. Backhouse continued for 100,000 and won the pot right there.
