Jian Yang Eliminated in 2nd Place (₩97,114,000/$85,460)

Jian Yang

Jian Yang had four-bet jammed in the first hand of heads-up and kept his aggressive style, though, it just backfired and left him drawing dead on the turn to end the tournament.

On a flop of {k-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Hearts} in a limped pot, Yang bet 100,000 and Keiji Takahashi raised to 300,000. Yang wasted little time before moving all in and Takahashi stood up from his chair, took off the sunglasses and double-checked the board carefully. He then announced the call and a dozen Japanese on the rail rushed to the table.

Jian Yang: {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}
Keiji Takahashi: {q-Hearts}{9-Hearts}

Yang needed running cards for a full house to double or chop with a straight. Instead, it was all over after the {2-Hearts} turn and that made the {10-Clubs} river a formality. Yang has been eliminated in 2nd place for ₩97,114,000 ($85,460) and Takahashi takes home the trophy and a payday of ₩143,890,000 ($126,623) to Japan.
