Wright Doubles Through Sim

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Jae Kyung Sim opened to 40,000 from the button, before Anthony Wright moved all-in from the small blind. Magnus Karlsson got out of the way, leaving a decision for Sim.

He sat forward in his chair, agonising about the decision. He counted out the call, and placed it to the side of his towering stack, thinking about what to do. He eventually made the call as both players tabled their cards.

Wright: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Sim: {Q-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}

Sim wasn't happy when he saw Wright's cards, hoping he had a few more outs before the board was spread out. In the end he couldn't improve, as the board showed {2-Spades}{10-Spades}{6-Spades}{K-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, giving Wright another much needed double-up.

Karlsson's Tough Fold

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

The hand started with Jae Kyung Sim opening to 40,000 from the button, and getting called by Magnus Karlsson on the big blind. The flop came down {9-Diamonds}{6-Diamonds}{9-Clubs} as both players checked, before the {8-Diamonds} fell on the turn. Karlsson threw out a bet of 45,000, which was called, as the {7-Hearts} completed the board.

Karlsson again bet out, this time for 55,000, before being with an instant all-in from Sim for infinite chips. Karlsson quickly jumped up from his chair, and walked around his end of the table, mumbling to himself. He came back to the table moments later, leaned over his chips, and folded his cards.

Sim tabled his {J-Spades}{8-Hearts} as he raked in the pot.

"I should've called," said Karlsson, taking his seat.

"You have a straight?" asked Sim.

Karlsson nodded, looking a little upset, after possibly folding the winning hand.

Wright Gets Shorter

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 3,000 ante

Magnus Karlsson made it 40,000 to go on the button, an Anthony Wright defended his big blind. Both players checked when the flop came down {k-Hearts}{4-Spades}{j-Hearts}, and the turn brought the {q-Clubs}. Wright checked again, and Karlsson fired out 45,000. Wright called, and he checked a third time when the river brought the {9-Diamonds}.

Karlsson thought for about 30 seconds before announcing all in, and it didn't take Wright very long to fold his hand, dropping him to 190,000 in the process.

Wright Doubles Through Karlsson

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante

Magnus Karlsson was first to act, and he raised it up to 32,000. Jae Kyung Sim called, and Anthony Wright moved all in from the big blind. Karlsson made the call, and Sim got out of the way.

Karlsson: {a-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}
Wright: {a-Spades}{a-Diamonds}

For the third time at this final table, we had a pocket aces vs. ace-king all in preflop confrontation. Karlsson got help on the flop, as it came down {k-Spades}{5-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}. Karlsson was looking for another king, but it never came, as the board completed {3-Clubs} and {10-Hearts}.

After that hand, Wright doubled to 500,000, while Karlsson dropped to 510,000.

Jim Collopy Eliminated in 4th Place (PHP 1,128,000)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Jim Collopy - 4th Place
Jim Collopy - 4th Place

Anothony Wright opened with a bet of 48,000 from under the gun, before being met with an all-in from Jim Collopy on the small blind. With the decision back on Wright, he quickly made the call.

Collopy: {Q-Spades}{Q-Hearts}
Wright: {A-Spades}{A-Hearts}

As soon as Wright tabled his cards, Collopy was out of his seat, in shock he had run into an over-pair. The board was no help for Collopy as it ran out {9-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}{9-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. After a quick count of both stacks, it was determined that Wright had Collopy covered by only 4,000 in chips, sending him to the rail in 4th place.

Daniel Spence Eliminated in 5th Place (PHP 917,000)

Level 21 : 8,000/16,000, 2,000 ante
Daniel Spence- 5th Place
Daniel Spence- 5th Place

For the first time at this final table, a player has been eliminated, and it wasn't chip leader Jae Kyung Sim who did the deed. This time it was Magnus Karlsson, who just eliminated Daniel Spence. Spence open shoved all in from under the gun for his last 100,000, and Karlsson, who was next to act, made the call.

Spence: {8-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}
Karlsson: {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}

The flop kept Karlsson out in front, coming {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}, and when the {q-Hearts} came on the turn, Karlsson had Spence drawing dead. The meaningless river was the {k-Hearts}, and after that hand, Karlsson is up to 800,000.
