Four is Enough

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

It's always good to be dealt a hand like {a-Spades}{a-Hearts}, but when the flop falls {6-Diamonds}{a-Diamonds}{a-Clubs} and your holding that hand, well, that's just a plain miracle

While it may be miracle, PokerStars Team Online Randy Lew wasn't complaing when he was dealt that hand just a few minutes ago.

Lew was going up against chipleader Sangeeth Mohan and while Lew wasn't able to extract as many chips as he would have liked, it was still a nice little pot and a good start to the day.

Barrett Slips Early

Josh Barrett opened the action from early position and was three-bet by Fabian Spiedelmann to his direct left. The play was sent flying back to Barrett and he made the call.

Flop: {k-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}

At this point Barrett check called a bet of 150,000 and the {k-Spades} was dealt on the turn. This time Barrett led for 200,000 and Spiedelmann made the call as the {5-Clubs} landed on the river. Both players checked this card.

Spiedelmann: {9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}
Barrett: {a-Hearts}{q-Spades}

The two-pair for Spiedleman was enough to take the pot off Barrett.

Tens for Chen

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

Daoxing Chen raised from the hijack seat to 65,000. David Steicke called from the big blind to see the flop come down {A-Hearts}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}. Both players checked.

After the {Q-Diamonds} landed on the turn, both players checked again and the river completed the board with the {6-Diamonds}. Steicke checked and Chen checked.

Chen tabled the {10-Spades}{10-Diamonds} and Steicke mucked his hand.

Ace High Good for Wang

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

From under the gun, Zuo Wang raised to 65,000. Action folded to Jeff Rossiter in the big blind and he made the call to see the {K-Clubs}{9-Hearts}{4-Spades} flop. Both players checked.

The turn was the {9-Clubs} and paired the board. Rossiter checked and Wang checked behind.

The river completed the board with the {6-Diamonds}. Both players checked once more.

Rossiter showed the {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}, but lost to Wang's {A-Hearts}{Q-Spades}.

The End Is Near

This is it folks, the final day of the 2011 PokerStars.net APPT Macau Main Event!

Only 15 players remain and it is India's Sangeeth Mohan who leads the way. Following Mohan is Kai Yat Fam, while some prominent names who will be hitting the felt are Team PokerStars Pro Randy Lew and David Steicke.

Lew and Steicke will arguably bring the most experience to the table, but there are still plenty of other players who will be right up there with a chance.

Jeff Rossiter from Australia knows what it takes to go deep in a tournament, finishing 3rd at this year's Aussie Millions, while Daoxing Chen knows what it takes to go deep in this very tournament, having finished 3rd here in Macau a couple of years ago.
