Break

The players are on their second 15-minute break of the day. Counts coming shortly, but first we're going to run to the bathroom.

Drivsholm Can't Buy a Pot

The level clock was beeping for a break just after the riffle for this hand.

From the button, Jeppe Drivsholm opened the pot with a raise to 80,000. Chong Cheong quickly folded his small blind, but Cole Swannack was already furrowing his brow and staring across at Drivsholm. After a check of his cards, he announced a covering all-in reraise, and Drivsholm reluctantly yielded once again.

Torres Shoves on Drivsholm

Jeppe Drivsholm raised under the gun, and big blind Victorino Torres made the call to go heads up to the flop.

The dealer spread out {J-Clubs} {10-Spades} {5-Diamonds}, and the action check-checked to the {10-Diamonds} turn. Torres grabbed the betting lead now, firing out 150,000. Drivsholm didn't waste much time making the call, and the {2-Spades} filled out the board. Torres quickly announced an all in, effectively putting Drivsholm to a decision for his last half-million chips.

Drivsholm stood from his chair and knelt on it, oddly taking a look back at his half-eaten hamburger on the table behind him. He sat back down and shot a few glances over at Torres, shaking his head and smirking slightly from the corners of his mouth. After about two minutes, he surrendered his cards back to the dealer.

Drivsholm is left with 558,000 chips.

Huge Flop for Both Players

Chong Cheong
Chong Cheong

Jeppe Drivsholm raised to 75,000 yet again and Chong Cheong made the call. Cheong was in the small blind and Drivsholm on the button. Cole Swannack thought about it for a moment from the big blind, but then folded.

The flop came down an extremely draw-heavy {Q-Hearts}{J-Hearts}{10-Hearts}. Cheong led right out for 75,000 and Drivsholm went into the tank. Eventually, he raised to 200,000 after a minute or so went by. It was now Cheong's turn to tank. He did so and then made the call.

The turn brought the {8-Hearts} and the crowd "Ooh'd" and "Aah'd". Cheong checked and Drivsholm checked behind.

The river put the measley {4-Clubs} on the board, not really what the crowd wanted to see. Cheong fired 150,000 and Drivsholm called. The hands turned up were quite a sight to see. Drivsholm tabled the {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds} for a flopped broadway straight, but lost to the {K-Hearts}{7-Hearts} of Cheong for a flopped flush. Cheong was left shaking his head thinking that maybe if he raised the flop the money would have gone in. He's now up to about 3.7 million and Drivsholm down below one million for the first time today.

More Chips for Cheong

The action didn't slow down and on the hand following the one that eliminated Kenny NIelsen, Jeppe Drivsholm raised from the cutoff seat to 75,000. Chong Cheong made the call in position on the button.

The flop came down {9-Clubs}{9-Spades}{5-Clubs} and Drivsholm fired 115,000. Cheong used his big stack to muscle around the Dane, firing in a raise to 315,000. Drivsholm folded and Cheong increased his chip led even further. He's up to about 3.25 million now. That's nearly half the chips in play.

Kenny Nielsen Eliminated in 5th Place (700,000 HKD)

Kenny Nielsen - 5th Place
Kenny Nielsen - 5th Place

Kenny Nielsen moved all in for just over 300,000 from the cutoff seat and Victorino Torres called from the button. Everyone else folded. Nielsen held the {A-Hearts}{8-Clubs} and was dominated with his tournament life on the line against the {A-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} of Torres.

The window card was the {8-Hearts}, but then the {J-Clubs} and {9-Hearts} followed. It was a brief scare for Torres, who thought for a moment that he fell behind and would be doubling up Nielsen.

The turn card added the {10-Hearts} to the board and Nielsen did pick up a flush draw. He also added some chop outs if the board made a straight.

The river completed the board with the {6-Clubs} and finished things off, also finishing off Nielsen's tournament run. He went out in 5th place while Torres moved up to about one million chips.

Another Limp for Cheong

Chong Cheong
Chong Cheong

Chong Cheong limped once again at the final table. This time he did it from middle position and then Victorino Torres checked in the big blind. The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} and Torres checked. Cheong fired 45,000 and Torres made the call. The turn card brought the {6-Clubs} and both players checked. The final card off the deck was the {10-Hearts} and both players checked again. The {A-Clubs}{J-Diamonds} was good enough to win the pot as Cheong mucked.
