Roel Pijpers and Enh Phengsavanh saw a flop of {7-Spades} {6-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}. Phengsavanh fired 1,650 before Pijpers asked how much he had left. After getting a look at Phengsavanh's stack, Pijpers raised to 15,000 to put Phengsavanh all in. Phengsavanh made the call for 12,650 total.

Phengsavanh held {A-Diamonds} {A-Spades} while Pijpers held {J-Diamonds} {J-Spades}. The turn was the {3-Clubs} and the river the {4-Spades}.

Pijpers and Phengsavanh chopped up the pot with the straight on board.

Swiebel Hits the Ground Running

Fresh off of a 30-hour journey from Holland to Australia, Constantijn Swiebel got off the plane and hitched a ride to Star City where he soon found out he'd been registered to play Day 1a.

With very little sleep and an imminent upcoming battle with jet lag surely on the way, Swiebel has his work cut out for him this afternoon.

Julian Powell raised to 700 after one limper. The big blind, Phillip Kober, and the limper called. The flop came down {A-Diamonds} {K-Hearts} {Q-Diamonds} and Kober checked to the preflop limper. He fired 1,000 before Powell raised to 3,000. Kober made the call as did the limper.

The turn brought the {J-Diamonds}. Action checked to Powell and he fired 5,500. Both his opponents made the call.

The river was the {9-Clubs} and Kober was first to act. He fired 8,000. Powell went into the tank after the player in middle position folded. A player eventually called the clock on Powell. Within the allotted minute, Powell made the call.

After Powell called, Kober tabled his powerhouse with the {K-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds}. That's right folks, a royal flush! Powell mucked his hand, dropping to 10,000.

Failed Bluff for Comer

On the flop of {A-Spades} {K-Diamonds} {5-Diamonds}, Martin Comer check-raised his opponent's bet of 600 to 1,600. The payer made the call, bringing the turn of the {5-Spades} to the board.

Comer fired 3,500 and his opponent made the call. The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Comer bet 8,000. His opponent called again, tabling {A-Hearts} {Q-Clubs} against Comer's {10-Spades} {9-Clubs}.

Comer began telling his opponent how bad of a play he made and that he had no idea where he was in the hand. Comer's dropped to 20,000.
