PokerStars SuperNova Elite Has its Perks

Dustin Dorrance-Bowman, who used his status as a PokerStars SuperNova Elite to gain entry into this Grand Final raised it up to 1,000 on the button. Daniel Hameiri said "sorry, mate" and bumped the action up to 3,000. Dorrance-Bowman made the call.

The dealer slid the flop out of the shoe, revealing the {A-Diamonds} {10-Diamonds} {3-Clubs} and Hameiri led out for 3,000. Dorrance-Bowman didn't utter any apologies, raising it up to 7,525 straight, leaving himself with about 13,000 behind. This raise sent Hameiri deep into the tank and he asked "you playing ace-ten?" Finally, Hameiri folded, throwing his {A-Clubs} {Q-Clubs} face-up into the muck.

Paino Shows His Hand

Antonio Paino raised to 1,025 from middle position and only the big blind called.

The flop came down {9-Diamonds} {7-Hearts} {5-Spades} and both players involved checked their action. The turn brought the {A-Hearts} and again, both players checked.

The river completed the board with the {Q-Hearts}. The big blind checked and Paino fired 2,500. His opponent folded, moving Paino up to 15,000. He did show the {6-Hearts} {5-Hearts} to the table.

Jovanovic Makes Paino Fold Best Hand

Antonio Paino raised to 1,025 and three players called; one in the cutoff, one on the button and one in the big blind. The flop came down {K-Clubs} {3-Spades} {2-Diamonds}.

Action checked to the cutoff, Predrag Jovanovic, and he fired 2,500. The button and big blind both folded, but Paino made the call.

The turn brought the {7-Hearts} and Paino checked again. Jovanovic bet 5,000 and Paino folded, showing that he was laying down {10-Hearts} {10-Clubs}. Jovanovic showed {6-Hearts} {6-Spades} before scooping in the pot.

Jovanovic is up to 27,000 and Paino dropped to 23,000.

Krautschneider Becomes the Hunted

Just moments after moving up to 80,000, Karl Krautschneider lost a big pot to Kent Hunter to drop to 65,000.

Krautschneider raised to 800 from under the gun and Hunter made the call from middle position. The flop brought the {7-Diamonds} {7-Spades} {5-Clubs} to the felt. Krautschneider bet 1,500 and Hunter called.

The turn added the {5-Diamonds} to the board. Krautschneider fired 3,000 and Hunter called again.

The river completed the board with the {Q-Hearts}. Krautschneider fired 6,000 before Hunter raised to 14,000. Krautschneider made the call, but mucked his hand after Hunter tabled {7-Hearts} {7-Clubs} for quads.

Hunter is up to 50,000 in chips.

Karl Kraustschneider Sniffs One Out

Over at table 18, the Mitchell Carle raised it up preflop, and got calls from both Lee Nelson and Karl Kraustschneider.

The flop came down {Q-Clubs} {4-Spades} {3-Diamonds} and Karl Kraustschneider led out at the pot, prompting a raise from Mitchell Carle. Lee Nelson folded, and Kraustsschneider called.

The turn was the {2-Diamonds} and Kraustschneider check-called a bet from Carle, swelling the pot to about 20,000.

The {7-Hearts} hit the river, and once again Karl Kraustschneider checked to Carle, who quickly moved all-in for close to 25,000. Kraustsschneider pondered things over for a few moments before calling with {Q-Hearts} {J-Hearts}. Carle, sheepishly flipped over the {7-Spades} {9-Spades} and wished the table luck as he made his way to the rail.

The hand shot Karl Kraustschneider to over 80,000.
