Gift Double For Rory

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Rory Young has landed a much-needed double up, but he did it in rather bizarre fashion.

Josh Redhouse opened under the gun to 80,000 before Young moved all in for 325,000 from the small blind. Peco Stojanovski cold-called from the big blind and Redhouse dropped his head into his hands. He was pained by the decision, but he eventually flashed the {a-Clubs} and folded.

“What?!?” exclaimed a surprised Stojanovski who opened {8-Hearts}{6-Clubs}, clearly hoping to gang up on the short stack to eliminate him. Young opened {K-Clubs}{Q-Clubs} and was pretty happy with his spot.

To compound the problem the board ran out {q-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{2-Clubs}{A-Diamonds}{7-Spades} which would’ve given Redhouse the knockout. Instead
Young more than doubled to 750,000.

“Nice call Peco! I’m buying you dinner tonight!” laughed Young with his new stack, as Redhouse indicated he would’ve called if Stojanovski didn’t. Oops!

Peco Can't Lose

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Peco Stojanovski has been raising every hand.

And also seemingly winning every hand.

The latest chips to go to Stojanovski saw Rory Young on the button and Stojanovski in the small blind taking to a {9-Spades}{2-Hearts}{4-Clubs} flop in a raised pot. Stojanovski led for 75,000 here and Young called.

On the {8-Spades} turn, Stojanovski led for 125,000 and Young raised it up to 275,000 - leaving himself with 375,000 behind. Stojanovski called and a {10-Spades} completed the board on the river.

This time both players checked.

"Think you win," said Stajonvski as he tabled {9-Clubs}{7-Spades}.

But no, Stojanovski was wrong as Young's cards went into the muck.

Young Victim Of Massive Cooler

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Rory Young was on the button. He held {j-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}. He was up against Josh Redhouse from the big blind, who held {q-Diamonds}{j-Spades}.

You can imagine what happened on the turn of a {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds}{8-Spades} board.

All the chips went in.

Redhouse was all in for 730,000 with his bigger straight, while Young had the smaller straight.

The river was a meaningless {2-Hearts} and so with that, Young was left with just around 700,000.

Stojanovski Won't Be Stopped

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Another pot for Peco Stojanovski.

Josh Redhouse opened to 60,000 from the under the gun.

Stojanovski called from the big blind and the {j-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{2-Clubs} flop would see Stojanovski lead for 75,000 on the flop. Redhouse called and a {6-Spades} hit the turn. This time Stojanovski led for 100,000 and Redhouse called. The river was a {10-Spades} and Stojanovski led for 200,000. Redhouse folded and the chips went to Stojanovski.

“Must be nice to already have the tournament locked up Peco,” Rory Young said.

It’s not over yet, But Stojanovic does have 4,650,000 in chips.

Peco Punishing Table

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Peco Stojanovski continued to win chips.

The latest pot to go his way began when he opened it up to 60,000 from the button. Josh Redhouse three-bet to 140,000 from the small blind and Jazz Mathers called from the big blind. Stojanovski also called and the three players then checked the {4-Hearts}{9-Spades}{a-Diamonds} flop. On the {q-Spades} turn, it was checked to Stojanovski, who bet 100,000. Two folds and the pot went to him.
