Deal Done, Cards in the Air

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The players have made an ICM deal and are leaving $20,000 for the winner.

Michael Kane has locked up $78,900 and Stephen McHugh is guaranteed $72,100.

With that, cards are now in the air!

Michael Doyle Eliminated in 3rd Place ($37,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Michael Doyle - 3rd place
Michael Doyle - 3rd place

Michael Doyle has been eliminated in third place and with that it's time for heads-up!

Doyle was the short stack three-handed and opted to get his chips in on the turn of a {2-Diamonds}{3-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{2-Hearts} board holding {q-Clubs}{7-Clubs}. Unfortunately for Doyle, Michael Kane made the call with {k-Diamonds}{2-Clubs} for the trip deuces and a flush draw.

When the board completed with an {a-Hearts}, Doyle was sent home with a $37,000 score.

It's Kane and Stephen McHugh heads-up for the title!

The two players are just getting ready for the battle now. We will post updated counts in a moment.

Navin Bechar Eliminated in 4th Place ($31,000)

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante
Navin Bechar - 4th place
Navin Bechar - 4th place

Just a short while after returning from the break and Navin Bechar has been eliminated in third place.

Bechar's final hand saw him three-bet jam for 445,000 from the button after Stephen McHugh had opened it up to 70,000 on his direct right. McHugh eventually made the call with his {a-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}, having Bechar at risk with {2-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}.

The {6-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{6-Clubs} flop wasn't good news for Bechar, while the {a-Spades} turn gave McHugh a full house and left Bechar drawing dead.

The river was a {2-Clubs} just to rub a little salt in Bechar's wound as he hit the rail with a $31,000 score.

McHugh's stack is almost as large as Michael Kane's.

Back Again

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

The four players are back from their break and the cards are back in the air.

The average stack is now around 30 big blinds.

Michael Kane is still well and truly the chip leader.

Four To Break

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Despite losing two players, the last level was very quiet on the action front.

Maybe this 10-minute break will liven things up a bit.

Check back soon.

Shoving Turn

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

Michael Kane was in the small blind when he opened it up to 55,000. Stephen McHugh called out of the big blind and the dealer spread out a {2-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} flop. Kane led for 42,000 here and McHugh made the call. On the {3-Clubs} turn, Kane checked and McHugh moved all in. Kane opted to get out of the way and so the pot went to McHugh.

This hand was the first to go past a flop since we lost Michael Guzzardi in 5th place!

Four-Handed Slowness

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

The action has slowed considerably during four-handed play.

The payjumps between fourth and third isn't massive, but the jumps between the top three payouts are mammoth.

Here is a reminder of what they are playing for.
