Kane Continues Crushing

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Stephen McHugh's stack has fallen to only a little more than 10 big blinds after another big Michael Kane pot.

The latest started when Kane opened the button to 80,000. McHugh called and the {7-Hearts}{j-Clubs}{10-Clubs} flop was dealt on the felt.

Both players checked here, just as they did on the {a-Spades} turn.

The river was a {4-Spades} and this time McHugh led for 75,000. Kane raised it up to 250,000 and McHugh called.

At showdown, Kane tabled {a-Diamonds}{4-Hearts} for two pair, while McHugh flashed a {j-} before sending his cards into the muck.

Another Big Lead for Kane

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Kane has once again taken a big lead in the heads-up battle against Stephen McHugh.

Kan had the button and raised it up. McHugh called and the dealer flipped over a {q-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop.

McHugh check-raised to 275,000 when Kane led for 125,000 and with a call from Kane, an {ah] hit the turn.

This time McHugh led for 290,000 and Kane made the call.

The river was a {2-Diamonds} and McHugh moved all in, with Kane having over 700,000 behind.

Kane snap-called, McHugh tabled just {k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}, while Kane had {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs} for the win.

Kane is up towards 3 million, while McHugh has just over 20 big blinds.

Back to Kane

Level 25 : 20,000/40,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Kane has once again taken the lead.

This time he had the button and opened it up to 80,000. Stephen McHugh called and the dealer rolled out a {3-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{7-Clubs} flop.

McHugh led for 105,000 and Kane raised it up to 245,000. McHugh made a quick call.

On the {6-Clubs} turn, McHugh moved all in with Kane having 645,000 behind.

Kane nodded his head, called, and tabled {7-Diamonds}{7-Hearts} for top set.

McHugh, meanwhile, turned over {q-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for just a pair of fours.

McHugh was drawing to a chop, but instead found meaningless trip fours on the {4-Clubs} river.

Kane Getting Short Again

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Another big pot has gone to Stephen McHugh.

This one started with McHugh opening the button to 75,000. Michael Kane called and the dealer flipped over a {4-Hearts}{q-Spades}{k-Spades} flop. Kane check-called a bet of 110,000 here and a {9-Diamonds} hit the turn. This time both players checked and a {7-Hearts} completed the board on the river.

After quite a while, Kane opted to fold.

"Show me a bluff there," Kane quipped to McHugh, who obliged, tabling {a-Spades}{4-Clubs} for just bottom pair.

McHugh Gaining Back

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Stephen McHugh is back in the lead after winning quite a few hands in a row.

The largest of those saw McHugh have the button when he and Kane played it down to the river of a {5-Spades}{9-Spades}{7-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{6-} board. Kane check-caled a bet of 70,000 on the flop and then the two players checked the turn and river.

At showdown, Kane's {k-}{6-} went into the muck when McHugh showed {a-}{6-}.

McHugh took down the next few hands after this one, winning with a single bet on a {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{3-Hearts} flop and on a {8-Diamonds}{2-Clubs}{9-Spades} flop.

Kane Snags River Double

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Michael Kane has managed a double up to sit with a much healthier stack heads-up with Stephen McHugh.

It was a {8-Hearts}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop that would see all the action occur, with Kane leading for 30,000 before McHugh raised to 80,000 from the button. Back on Kane and he raised to 205,000. McHugh opted to go all in here and Kane called off his remaining stack of around 500,000 more.

It was Kane with {7-Hearts}{6-Hearts} for the flush draw against McHugh with {a-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for top pair.

Kane called for a heart and while he didnt get one on the {2-Clubs} turn, the {5-Hearts} river would give him the goods to double up.

Massive Hand for McHugh

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 5,000 ante

Just a few minutes after returning from making the deal and Stephen McHugh has won a gigantic pot.

McHugh had the button and took to a {a-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{2-Diamonds} flop in a raised pot with Michael Kane.

On the flop, Kane led for 90,000 and McHugh made it 240,000 to go.

McHugh called and a {8-Spades} hit the turn.

When both players checked, an {a-Spades} was flipped over on the river.

This time Kane led for 425,000 and McHugh moved in for 1,140,000 total.

"This is a massive cooler no matter who has the winning hand," Kane said as he leaned back in his chair bemused.

Eventually he made the call and McHugh tabled {4-Hearts}{3-Spades} for the wheel.

Kane looked disgusted as he mucked his cards.

"I had ace king," Kane said to his rail as the giant pot went to McHugh.
