Hachem the Leader

Level 27 : 60,000/120,000, 10,000 ante

Francis Craib opened to 240,000 from the cut-off and was met with a call from Iori Yogo on the button. Anthony Hachem was on the small blind, and opted to raise to 635,000 in chips. Craib quickly folded as Yogo called, as both saw the flop come down {K-Diamonds}{8-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}. A continuation bet of 810,000 was all that was needed from Hachem, as Yogo folded his hand.

Hachem now moves to over five million in chips.

Bouskila Doubles

Level 27 : 60,000/120,000, 10,000 ante

Michel Bouskila moved all-in for his last 1,620,000 in chips from the button, and was flat-called by Francis Craib in the small blind. Iori Yogo then made things interesting, by moving all in from the big blind, having both players covered. Craib reluctantly folded his hand, as the two live players tabled their cards.

Bouskila: {K-Diamonds}{J-Clubs}
Yogo: {A-Diamonds}{K-Hearts}

Bouskila’s tournament life was at risk, until the flop fell down {J-Diamonds}{6-Spades}{6-Clubs} to give him the lead. The board ran out the {5-Spades} and {8-Hearts} to see Bouskila receive a double-up.

Bouskila Drops

Level 27 : 60,000/120,000, 10,000 ante

Iori Yogo got things rolling with a bet of 240,000 from under the gun, and was called by Michel Bouskila on the big blind. The flop came {J-Clubs}{7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds} and both checked to see the turn come the {2-Clubs}. Bouskila check-called another bet of 400,000 before the {a-Spades} completed the board.

Bouskila checked, and was met with an instant bet to 800,000 in chips. He paused for a moment, before releasing his hand, surrendering the pot to Yogo.

Michael Kanaan Eliminated in 5th Place ($43,050)

Level 27 : 60,000/120,000, 10,000 ante

We’ve just lost Michael Kanaan from the tournament. He moved all-in for 1,600,000 from the cut-off and was called by Anthony Hachem on the big blind.

Kanaan: {A-Spades}{10-Spades}
Hachem: {A-Diamonds}{5-Hearts}

Kanaan was in great shape to double, having Hachem out-kicked heading to the flop. The dealer spread out {2-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{3-Spades}, and the crowd was up from their seats. Hachem still had a live five, and now had extra outs to a straight. The {7-Spades} gave him a few less, with the {5-Spades} and {4-Spades} potentially giving Kanaan a flush.

The dealer casually peeled over the {5-Clubs} on the river, to give Hachem the unlikeliest victory, sending Kanaan to the rail

Yogo Gets There

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

The action started with Michel Bouskila opening to 200,000 from the cut-off, before being met with a raise to 420,000 from Michael Kanaan on the button. Iori Yogo chose to four-bet from the big blind, moving all-in for an additional 1,265,000 in chips. Bouskila quickly folded, and after getting an exact count, Kanaan made the call.

Kanaan: {K-Spades}{Q-Clubs}
Yogo: {9-Spades}{9-Clubs}

Although he found himself trailing, Kanaan took the lead when the flop fell down {K-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}. However, Yogo was able to steal back the lead, when the {9-Hearts} spiked on the turn. The irrelevant {A-Clubs} completed the board, to see Yogo rocket back up to 3,680,000 in chips.

Kanaan and Craib Continue their Battle

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Michael Kanaan opened to 200,000 from the small blind and was called by Fabian Craib, as the flop came down {3-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{2-Diamonds}. Kanaan continued with a bet of 200,000 which was called, as the {j-Spades} made the turn. Another bet of 450,000 was quickly called, as the {10-Hearts} on the river brought back-to-back checks.

Kanaan tabled his {5-Spades}{5-Hearts}, but had been out-flopped by Craib, who hit a pair of sixes holding {K-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}.

Craib Chipping Up

Level 26 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante

Michel Bouskila opened to 200,000 from the button, and was called by Michael Kanaan and Fabian Craib in the blinds. The flop came {6-Spades}{2-Spades}{A-Spades} and all three players checked, to see the {8-Hearts} appear on the turn. Kanaan looked down at his chips, before sliding out 300,000, which was only called by Craib, as the {q-Hearts} completed the board.

Kanaan quickly checked, then went into the tank, as Craib casually bet out 425,000 in chips. A minute passed, and Kanaan folded, as the pot got pushed to Craib.
