British Victory in the €2,200 High Roller
Today's schedule also featured the conclusion of the €2,200 High Roller, which had attracted a field of 63 entries. Only the top eight finishers earned a portion of the €120,960 prize pool with a min cash of €5,000 reserved for Jordi Escriba Munio. Among those to cash thereafter were Max Avela and Simone Agnolotto, followed by Adria Colomina Guitart.
There was a deal between the final three players in which Markus Hausberger was the first to bow out, leaving the Brits James Crawley-Boevey and Warren Aspey to battle for the victory. The duo battled back and forth and Aspey doubled back into the lead only for Crawley-Boevey to pull ahead again. Ultimately, both flopped a pair of eights but the ace-eight of Crawley-Boevey prevailed against the king-eight of Aspey to win the trophy and top prize of €31,500.
