Who Will Win the 2019 888poker LIVE Bucharest Main Event?
A champion will be crowned today at the five-star Intercontinental Bucharest, as the 2019 888poker LIVE Bucharest Festival in cooperation with Pokerfest Romania draws to a conclusion. Only 12 players out of a 505-entry strong field remain to battle for the title, trophy, and top prize of €75,000 in the €888 Main Event.
On top of that, the winner can look forward to a free trip to the Mekka of poker in Las Vegas, as WSOP sponsor 888poker is providing a 2019 WSOP Main Event package worth $12,600 to the eventual champion.
In prime position to lift the trophy are Zhiping Zeng (3,320,000) and Darius Neagoe (3,075,000), who hold a commanding lead over the remaining contenders. All the other 10 hopefuls hold fewer than 20 big blinds each when the action resumes at 1.15 p.m. local time with level 27 and blinds of 30,000/60,000 with a 60,000 big blind ante.
That includes Bogdan Nicolae (1,190,000), Cristian Matei (1,110,000), Aldo Monteleone (1,095,000), Mihai Gheonu (1,020,000), Nicolae Suciu (1,000,000), Derek Reid (825,000), Ran Shahar (710,000), Jose Manuel Planells Castillo (670,000), Raoul Iancovici (625,000), and Helder Ferreira (500,000). Several of the shorter stacks were all in and at risk just shy of bagging and tagging last night, but a dozen will return to their seats in order to play down a champion in the Romanian capital.
