Barkay and Podovei Rising
Level 6
: 300/500, 500 ante
Not long ago, Gabriel Povodei jammed in a three-way pot to the flop and forced folds from Claudio Di Giacomo and Alf Martinsson. Di Giacomo was left with around 14,000 and sent those chips over to Podovei, who claimed them with a big smile on the face.
One table over, Benjamin Barkay also chipped up without showdown. The Belgian faced a bet of 7,600 by an opponent in middle position on a river and check-shoved for more than 30,000. His opponent only had 12,500 behind and used his last two remaining time banks before his hand was declared dead.
Sergio Alonso even jokingly wanted to give away his time banks to allow for more time of consideration.
