Vodka for a Bad Beat

Tournaments are run slightly different in Romania and it came as no surprise that the latest promotion for all players in the event was unusual. The next bad beat hand, as determined by the dealer, was to award a special package with jug of vodka to pour some alcohol on the misery. Just one minute later on table three, the same table that popped the headphones cherry on Day 1b, Ivan Stankov was all in for 70,500 and Iulian Iacob called.

The board came and Stankov rivered a queen. Floor staff was promptly notified and Iacob downed his shot of vodka a mere minute later. Both players started as big stacks and have since dropped down to fewer than the average.
