Marcelo Cunha Eliminated in 19th Place ($8,400 BRL)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

We caught up to the action on the flop of {5-Hearts}{6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and there were three players involved in the pot. First to act was Junior Viana and he checked from the small blind to Valcir Mello. Mello checked from the big blind before Cunha put out a bet of 120,000. Viana called but Mello folded.

The turn was the {4-Spades} and immediately Viana moved all in. Cunha let out a sigh, then called.

Cunha: {Q-Hearts}{Q-Spades}
Viana: {8-Spades}{8-Diamonds}

Cunha was well ahead with his pair of queens, but Viana had outs to both a straight and a full house. The river was the {7-Spades} and that vaulted Viana into the lead, giving him a straight and eliminating Cunha from the tournament in 19th place. Players are now redrawing for seats at the final two tables.

Aziz Retakes the Leads After Big Battle With Tabarin

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Daniel Aziz
Daniel Aziz

We didn't catch the preflop action, but when we approached the table on the river there was nearly 1,000,000 in the pot and Daniel Aziz was facing off against Mauro Tabarin. The board read {6-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}{K-Spades}{8-Clubs}. Tabarin was first to act and was positioned in the small blind. He checked over to Aziz on the button who decided to put Tabarin to the ultimate test. He moved all in.

Tabarin thought for a couple of minutes then folded his hand, allowing Aziz to take the massive pot with no showdown.

According to a fellow media outlet, Aziz fired three bullets to take down the pot. He opened on the button with a raise and was called by Tabarin. Tabrin then check-called a bet of 75,000 on the flop, and another bet of 250,000 on the turn, creating the massive pot.

Fabio Nascimento Eliminated in 20th Place ($8,400 BRL); Gustavo Monteiro Climbs In Massive Three-Way Pot

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

A three-way all in preflop left Fabio Nascimento all in and at risk. Gustavo Monteiro was also all in and at risk as Ary Nogueira had called both all ins and had both players covered.

Nogueira: {Q-Clubs}{Q-Hearts}
Nascimento: {A-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Monteiro: {K-Diamonds}{K-Clubs}

The board rolled out {7-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{6-Hearts}{7-Clubs}{5-Diamonds} and that kept Monteiro in the lead the whole way, earning him the massive pot and leaving Nogueira with the shortest stack left in the tournament.

Fernando Garcia Eliminated in 21st Place ($8,400 BRL)

Level 23 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Junior Viana opened with a raise to 55,000 from the cutoff before Fernando "Grow" Garcia moved all in from the button for right around 300,000. Viana thought for a bit then announced a call and the cards were turned up.

Viana: {a-Diamonds}{9-Diamonds}
Garcia: {K-Spades}{J-Hearts}

The flop came down {10-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{6-Hearts} which changed nothing, and the {10-Clubs} came on the turn.

Garcia snapped his fingers at the board. "Voila!" he said, which earned some laughs from the table. But the river was the {A-Hearts} and that would do it for Garcia, eliminating him from the tournament in 21st place.
