Millions of Dollars Won and Lost on Episode 9 of the Triton Million

In 2019, 27 amateurs and 27 of the world’s best pros competed in the biggest buy-in event in history. Now, the Triton Million - A Helping Hand for Charity poker tournament is being released as a 10-episode series on Triton Poker's YouTube Channel.
A total of 54 players stumped up the seven-figure entry fee with £50,000 of each buy-in going to benefit 15 different charities. As a result, this saw £2.7 million going to a plethora of good causes as well as generating a staggering £54 million ($73,993,800) pound prize pool.
After the last episode, which featured the biggest bubble in poker history, the final table of eight was set.

Here's a look at five of either the biggest or most interesting hands from the ninth episode, which can be viewed in full below.
Hand #1: The Big Al Bluff
With blinds at 60,000/120,000/120,000, Alfred DeCarolis limped from the first position holding the A♦3♦ and 6,100,000 in chips, and Dan Smith called from the cutoff with the 5♦5♥ and 2,000,000. Timothy Adams three-bet holding the 9♥9♠ from the small blind to the tune of 760,000 from a starting stack of 5,100,000. DeCarolis called and Smith folded.
The flop of J♦6♦4♣ kept Adams in the lead, the Canadian bet 450,000, and DeCarolis called with his flush draw. The 6♥ landed on the turn and Adams bet 575,000, which DeCarolis once again called. The 4♠ hit the river, Adams checked, and DeCarolis moved in immediately. Adams folded and DeCarolis showed the bluff.
“They don’t call him Big Al for nothing,” said Bill Perkins.
“Gangsta,” said Vivek Rajkumar.
Adams remained quiet.
Hand #2: Zang Doubles Through Rajkumar
With the blinds at 100,000/200,000/200,000, Rajkumar, who had already doubled up Perkins twice, opened to 450,000 from early position with the A♣J♦. Aaron Zang looked down at the A♦J♥ from the small blind and moved his final 12 big blinds into the middle, the big blind folded, and Rajkumar called.
With a chop the odds on outcome, the final table looked on in disbelief as Zang hit a four-flush on a 10♠8♥4♥3♥10♥ board to get a much-needed double-up.
Hand #3: Timothy Adams Eliminated in 8th Place (£1,400,000)
With blinds at 100,000/200,000/200,000, Timothy Adams opened the action to 400,000 holding the K♥K♦ in the hijack from a stack of 5,600,000. DeCarolis called with the A♠8♠ from the button off a stack of 3,200,000, and the big stack Rajkumar put them both all in with the A♦10♣ from the small blind. Perkins folded in the small blind, Adams called off with his cowboys, and DeCarolis folded.
Adams was a 67% favorite to double up until the dealer gave Rajkumar an ace on the A♣7♠8♦ flop. The 6♠ and 9♣ hit the turn and river, respectively and Adams’ life in the Triton Million was extinguished.
Hand #4: Chidwick Tested
With blinds at 100,000/200,000/200,000, the chip leader Rajkumar opened to 450,000 with the A♠8♣ on the button, and Stephen Chidwick defended the big blind with the J♦5♦ off a 4,300,000 stack.
The flop of J♣9♠4♥ handed Chidwick top pair, and he check-called a 300,000 Rajkumar continuation-bet. The Q♠ hit the turn, and Chidwick once again check-called, this time for 850,000.
The river was the 6♥, giving Chidwick a lock on the hand with top pair. Chidwick checked to Rajkumar, who moved all in, putting Chidwick to the test for his tournament life. He passed it with an incredible call to double up.
Hand #5: Alfred DeCarolis Eliminated in 7th Place (£1,720,000)
With blinds at 100,000/200,000/200,000, DeCarolis limped into the pot from the hijack holding the A♥3♥ and 2,800,000 in chips.
The action folded to Chidwick in the small blind and he raised to 700,000 with two black aces and the covering stack.
Smith folded in the big blind, DeCarolis moved all in for his remaining 2,600,000, and Chidwick called.
The board ran out Q♦J♣4♣5♦A♦, and the man DeCarolis invited to the tournament ousted him from it. Here's how things stacked up at the end of the episode.
