Grand Prix Canada

The partypoker LIVE tour returns to the Playground Poker Club in Montreal from Aug. 13 for the $1 million guaranteed Grand Prix Canada, part of the World Cup of Cards series.

As is the standard at partypoker-run tournaments, players are eligible to compete in Day 1s and a Day 2 of Grand Prix Canada online at partypoker, in addition to playing in the live arena at the Playground Poker Club.

Three online Day 1s have already played out, but there is still time to get involved at partypoker because nine more starting flights are scheduled online with an additional 17 live flights.

Play in the Live Day 1s continues until only 10 percent of the field remains and players can buy in late for the first six 20-minute levels, while online play continues for 18 10-minute levels and anyone with chips in front of them at that point progresses to Day 2.

There is an online Day 2 held at partypoker at 9:00 p.m. ET on Aug. 13 with the Live Day 2 commencing at 1:00 p.m. on Aug. 20; the third and final day is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start on Aug. 21.

Anyone who progresses to Day 2 is automatically in the money and will receive $400, plus anyone who navigates their way to Day 3 online earns a Golden Chip, which can be exchanged for a US$10,000 Caribbean Poker Party package if you reach the final table of Grand Prix Canada.

Satellites into the online and live Day 1s are available at partypoker starting at only US$2.20, so if you want to win your way into the $1 million guaranteed Grand Prix Canada for only a few bucks then online qualification is the way to go.

If you already have a partypoker account, head to the Live Events filter of the tournament lobby and select Playground for all available satellites and Day 1s. Those of you without a partypoker account can grab a 100 percent up to US$500 first deposit bonus when you download partypoker via PokerNews and use the bonus code “PNCOM” when making your first deposit.
