German Poker Championships

The lavish King’s Casino in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, is the place to be between August 9-14 because it is hosting the partypoker LIVE German Poker Championships. The inaugural event coincides with the launch of the new King’s Hotel and Casino expansion.

Six events are scheduled for the German Poker Championships with combined guarantees of €2,250,000. While all six tournaments look like being superb value, it is the €2,200 buy-in German Poker Championship that is likely to attract the most players due to its €1 million guaranteed prize pool.

Like most of partypoker LIVE’s recent tournaments, the German Poker Championship is a multi-phase event that takes place both online at partypoker and live at King’s Casino. The introduction of phases is something new to King’s Casino and follows on from the recent success of the partypoker LIVE MILLIONS at Dusk Till Dawn in the United Kingdom.

Satellites for the €1 million guaranteed event are currently available at partypoker from as little as $2.20 and you can win $2.20 tickets from only $0.01. If you download partypoker via PokerNews and enter the bonus code “PNCOM” when making your first deposit, partypoker will match it 100 percent up to a maximum of $500.

Two High Roller events are sure to appeal to King’s Casino’s many high-stakes gurus. The German Poker Championships kick off with a €5,300 eight-handed high roller event with a €250,000 guarantee, with a massive €25,000 rake-free Super High Roller guaranteeing €500,000 on Aug. 12. A host of partypoker’s ever-growing stable of pros should be competing in the opening event and the German Poker Championship.

Speaking about the festival and the new 210-room hotel opening, King’s Casino owner Leon Tsoukernik said:

“I think the new rooms will sell out fast so get booking – as the event coincides with the opening of the new hotel it is one of the biggest days in the history of King’s so be prepared for surprises. I would love everyone to come and support and celebrate and with the German Poker Championships we have one of the most progressively structured tournaments in the world and you don’t want to miss it.”

Managing Director of partypoker, Tom Waters, was equally excited. “We are delighted to be partnering with King’s to provide the German Poker Championships. The schedule offers a really nice mix of events and with over $2 million guaranteed it is a festival not to be missed. Players should also be really excited about the new wonderful hotel that adds both luxury and convenience to Kings poker room. Players from all around the world can qualify on partypoker from for as little as one cent or jump straight into the Online Day 1.”
