January is a busy month for the Irish Poker Tour, with three festivals planned. One, the 2025 Galway Poker Festival, is in full swing and has been since New Year's Day. January 3 marks the start of that tour's €700 buy-in, €300,000 guaranteed Main Event. Six Main Event flights are available until January 5, with the champion crowned on January 6.

Last year's Galway Poker Festival Main Event awarded €434,077, including a massive €83,500 to eventual champion Derek Baker.

Five days after the 2025 Galway Poker Festival concludes, the Limerick €30K In A Day takes place at the Castleroy Park Hotel. The bulk of that guaranteed amount is reserved for the €200 Main Event, which will pay at least €20,000 on January 11.

The year's first month ends with the Munster Poker Festival at the Charleville Park Hotel in County Cork. €100,000 is guaranteed across the festival, including a €200 buy-in, €70,000 guaranteed Main Event.

Four other stops have festival guarantees worth six figures. The tour heads to Scotland on March 3-9 for the inaugural Glasgow Poker Festival. Running at the Alea Casino in Glasgow, this festival has at least £270,000 thanks partly to the £400 buy-in, £200,000 guaranteed Main Event.

Value hunters should check out the St Patrick's Weekend €100K For €100 event at the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin between March 12-16. Last year's tournament saw Gastao Silva bank €16,000 for his €100 investment after he outlasted 1,770 opponents! In addition to the €100,000 guaranteed Main Event, there's another €100,000 to be won across several side events, including €30,000 in the APAT Irish Championship.

The 2025 Monster is perhaps the most eagerly anticipated announced 2025 Irish Poker Tour stop. It runs from April 30 to May 5 at the Green Isle Hotel in Dublin, and boasts of a €150 buy-in Main Event with a €200,000 guarantee! The 2024 edition drew in 1,858 runners and ended in a three-way ICM chip that saw Carl Cullen bust n third for €26,500, Massimo Pacini finish second for €27,365, and Peter Burnett bank €25,125 for his victory. This year's guarantee has been increased by €50,000 despite the buy-in remaining the same.

Rounding off the six-figure prize pooled festivals in the first half of 2025 is the Northern Poker Festival at the Fairways Hotel in Dundalk, County Louth. It occurs between June 20 and 22, meaning you can bag a sack of cash over a single weekend, especially if you go deep in the €300 buy-in, €60,000 guaranteed Main Event.
