2025 Galway Poker Festival

The Irish Poker Tour kicks off 2025 with a bang with the Galway Poker Festival running at the Galmont Hotel in Galway from January 1-6. However, before that festival, which comes with a €300,000 guaranteed Main Event, the Irish Poker Tour Final takes place at The Green Isle Hotel in Dublin from December 27-29.

Many people feel like they are in limbo during the few days between Christmas and the New Year, but Irish Poker Tour fans won't be short of things to do. On December 27, four Irish Poker Tour Final tournaments, including the €200 No-Limit Hold'em Main Event and its €125,000 guaranteed prize pool, shuffle up and deal.

The Main Event has five flights, including a turbo-structured Day 1D from 9:00 p.m. on December 28 and a hyper-turbo Day 1E at 11:00 a.m. on December 29. A champion will be crowned on December 29.

Going deep in or winning any of the Irish Poker Tour Final events will stand you in good stead for the Galway Poker Festival that kicks off 2025.

€300,000 Guaranteed Main Event To Kick Off the New Year

Try not to overdo it during your New Year celebrations because you'll want to be in tip-top shape for the 2025 Galway Poker Festival. The first stop of the 2025 Irish Poker Tour takes place at The Galmont Hotel & Spa in Galway, Ireland, from January 1-6.

As is usually the case at live stops, the Main Event is the festival's highlight. This year's Galway Poker Festival Main Event will set you back €700 to buy in, but you'll be grinding it out for the lion's share of a €300,000 guaranteed prize pool.

In 2024, when this Main Event cost €600, a €434,077 prize pool was created by 833 entrants. Derek Baker came out on top and returned home with €83,500 for his efforts after leaving the likes of Tomas Geleziunas, Cathal Shine, Ivan Tononi, and Marc MacDonnell in his wake at the final table.

If the €700 buy-in is outside your bankroll's constraints, consider hitting up the many live satellites during the festival or head online to Paddy Power Poker, where satellites are still available. Should you qualify for the 2025 Galway Poker Festival Main Event online at Paddy Power Poker, you'll be automatically entered into the €10,000 Sole Survivor promotion. Be the last online qualifier in the Galway Poker Festival Main Event, and a €10,000 bonus is all yours on top of any prize money you collect.
